How to reduse the Fair Tax (or any tax)

I answered this problem back in 1976 as I was taking Essay 1 in 10th grade, our last essay assignment was on how to change government so America would last another 200 or more years. The essay I wrote was on how taxes would eat up our paycheck by the next century. This way as Jimmy Carter was starting his run to become President. Over all Federal Income tax at that time ate 13% of your income and was projected to increase to 17%, maybe even 20% by 1980. And with the rising cost og gasoline and inflation expected to increase the cost of every thing. The loss of take home (Net) Income gave birth of the Misery Index. This was all caused by the Federal Government stating to do every thing for you bat as I labeled back then 'wipe your ass, but you still had the freedom to select one or two ply toilet paper.

As I started 11th grade I took Advanced Essay and I had the same teacher with the same first assignment. This time I wrote the second part of the paper, which I had the summer vacation to ponder about. The paper was about how to prevent the Federal government from taking more of our take home pay. My solution was easy and I labeled it 'Adding a 4th R to education'. Along with Reading, (w)riting and (A)rithmetic the four one would become Responsibilities. These would be simple classes that would educate students on Civics which would no longer be taught in Colorado schools after 1977-8, and things like family financing along with Insurance selections, investment in the DOW Jones, medical choices and wills.

In the fall of 1976 my papers won a Governor's award for being one of the 10 best papers written by a Colorado student in 1976. I gave the paper and the blue ribbon to my teacher since at the age of 16 I saw no need to keep it. But it still rests in my memory's, may be not word for word but I still have the ideas.

When we return to a non people dependent on the government society this idea needs to be ingrained into the social fabric of the Governing body of America. As the Federal government needs to do less for the people, in theory the Government will need to take less of our pay to spend at 3 to five times the cost it would cost us the public to do it by ourselves.

This may lower the FAIR-TAX from 23% down to 15% or less as other tax ideas propose. To do this the public population needs to start proposing and presenting Responsibility Education desires to the local school boards. When these ideas flourish around America the Federal Government will pick up the idea and imbed it into our educational system. It may not be quick or fast but it is far more peaceful than the harmful revolution that the fool who likes to claim he is our president now, Mr. Obuma is doing with his hindering America's true goals of making a better future for the world.
