This song is dedicated to my very best friend, Merrill Pierce, who is truly a concrete cowboy.
This tune tells the story of a cowboy going to Washington to find out what makes this country run. He wants to understand why Congress is raising taxes to share America ’s bills. However, he is quickly disappointed that voters have little to say about how poorly their hard-earned money is being handled. The government continues to pile up debt with their wasteful spending and socialist agenda.
With the current economic crisis and dwindling job market, Americans need a song that will rally their spirit. Everyone should recognize that drastic changes are desperately needed in our current congressional representation in favor of leaders who will enact a fair tax resolution to abolish the IRS. Otherwise, our children and grand-children will face a social and economic disaster worse than the Great Depression.
As the cowboy says,
“The taxes ain’t fair
And they don’t care.
We don’t have more money
And they think it’s funny.
We’re going to rebel
And it’s time to tell,
We ain’t going to take it no more!”
