You are also right Bob - unfortunately...
However, there is hope - I really do believe the actions of the current administration has created what I refer to as the "perfect storm" and honestly feel that America's second revolution has begun. The hundreds of Tea Parties planned for the 15th speaks to that and will be the "shot heard around the world".
I really liked the video but was surprised by the speaker's electoral college position. The tea bag thing, while having good symbolism, just wasn't well thought out.
Right on both parts Sean. Point of posting was to excite activism to do something. We're getting lazy as a country. We're turning into a mass of brain dead lemmings with an overdeveloped sense of entitlement and if something isn't done soon we're finished.
Overall a really great video, with two exceptions...
One - a tea bag mailed to a representive, senator or even the president will never reach them - ever since the whole anthrax thing shortly after 911, all of them will goe to a central post office where they will be discarded.
Two (and most importantly), getting rid of the electoral college is a bad idea. Once that happens, there is little hope of electing a conservative as president ever again. The majority of people in this great nation live in cities and those populations lean mostly liberal. Eliminate the electoral college and future presidents will be elected by residents of New York City, Boston, Chicago (who gave us Obama), San Francisco, Los Angeles and the New England states - just to name a few.
