In 2003 the Greene County (Ohio) Commissioners signed a no-bid contract with the Dayton Development Coalition for $1.9 million. The Coalition in turn noncompetitively assigned work to The Greentree Group and Washington lobbyist, PMA Group. During the three year period of that contract, the Dayton Development Coalition paid its CEO over $500,000 and PMA about $520,000. These companies, along with Dayton Development Coalition associates then gave over $100,000 to Dave Hobson's and Steve Austria's political campaigns. On Tuesday Greene County elected officials will appear before the County Commissioners to argue for more tax dollars to pay for county services, which would not be necessary if our elected officials wouldn't waste money on special interest campaign contributors.
