Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

HEY....When you hear about Tailgate (Tail Gate) parties what do you think of?

I was pondering FairTax Tailgate Parties....I'm just not sure where to go from there....I thought about asking some of our businesses if we could have one in their parking lots...or maybe have them in a park....

Then the "why"....etc.

Anyone want to chime in on the idea?  This is a great place for brainstorming!!!  :)

FairTax Tailgate Party at: Parks, Rest Stops, businesses parking lots....

Snacks & Talk & then maybe some sort of Public Awareness activity "event".  One thought was putting together door knob bags and then going into a neighborhood and hanging them with information about the legislation and an invite to the next event.

Goooo FairTax!

How about a picnic in a field or parking area (private property) along one of the major highways. Anywhere a lot of people will see it going on and could easily get in/out along their travel. Lots of signs and canopies. Food cooking and beverages. Sell hot dogs and hamburgers to anyone that wants to donate to the cause. Hand out information and sign them up.

I have seen some mobile electronic signs on trucks. If they are available in the area, rent one of them for the event. There is a Fair Tax Power Point presentation that would work very easily on these signs. Since they are mounted on a truck, they can be placed almost anywhere.
Ya know, I think this is a great idea and a really good place to start. Last month, when I went to DeLand to attend another rally for the FairTax, there was a group of College
Republicans who were cooking up a bunch of hot dogs and burgers and only asking for a "donation". I was more than happy to stuff 2 to 3 bucks in their jar just because... I'm sure they made out rather well considering the other food that was available was way overpriced.

All you need is a grill and the initial investment for the charcoal, dogs and hamburger. For whatever my 2 cents is worth - I say go for it! And that is keeping things simple - the potential is huge!
Another thought...

I think Walt is very "dead-on" with his suggestion of a "picnic". I have to admit that all of us down here in Florida have no idea what life is like for all of you good people in the great Northwest - but just imagine, we're probably separated by the greatest distance possible in terms of miles yet we are only a few moments away from being able to communicate with each other.

I kind of like the idea of holding a "picnic" in a public park to promote the FairTax. How you do that is very much up to you - my two cents.
Thanks guys! I'm "seriously" considering the Rest Stop idea and after researching have noted that it isn't just about having a grill...but even sandwichs and the like...At a rest stop we could enable "LOTS" to meet in the middle while at the same time have a FairTax Caravan and bring public awareness to those at the rest stops....specifically TRUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow if we could get truckers on the FairTax!!! It'll be a project I hope to start after Storming the Hill!!!!!!!!!
> Jamie, What we need are truckers who have van trailers, especially those who drive long haul. We need them to let us put the FairTax logo on the sides.
