Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25
Glenn Beck Favors Flat Income Tax
Glenn Beck just interviewed on his show Scott Hodge who is President of The Tax Foundation. Both stated they favor a flat tax on income over The Fair Tax because The Fair Tax will eventually create too many loopholes and exemptions on items purchased whereas a flat tax on income will eliminate loopholes and exemptions. Both clearly don't understand The Fair Tax will eliminate loopholes and exemptions created by lobbyists nor the history of the income tax that began as a flat tax and has evolved into the multi-tiered system we have today because of lobbyists. Both need to be educated. This needs to be addressed.

So the flat tax got no where on his poll. It gets no where on any polls. It has no backing in Congress.
So much for his "We the people" stuff against socialism. He just endorsed the 2nd plank of the communist manifesto.

Neal Boortz was asked to appear on his Beck's show today, but he had other things he had to do. I wonder how that would have changed things?
Neal also described how the talk show business works. Apparently, these hosts don't like to step on each other's toes when it comes to certain issues. The Fair Tax is considered Boortz's issue, so the other talk show hosts stay away from it.
You have to take these shows with a grain of salt. They do what they do to get ratings. Its a business.

Has Beck become "Benedict Beck" I thought he was a huge FairTax supporter? If this is the case, he really doesn't understand the FairTax at all or a flat taxer is paying his bills now. Maybe the Dick Armies or Newt Gingrichs. Hmm. link? They are spending lots o bucks on those google ads. FLAT TAX keeps the lobbyist!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and keeps the gov. reps. tweaking the system. Cattle we are.

It does not repeal the 16th amendment! It is an income tax that will always have the cheats, dodgers and full control to Washington. It is still repressive! YES, I think so many people really do NOT understand the total Fair Tax! They look at parts and get confused or are easily swayed. The Lobbyists will find a way to defeat us if we let them. Income taxes bring power to them and everyone on capitol hill.
It is an uphill battle we must fight!
I see Obama will speak on the fairness of taxes at 11:55am on the 15th! He opposes the Fair Tax so I wonder what he will say!

I'm afraid Glenn isn't taking the time to focus. He doesn't fully understand the Fair Tax; that's obvious. I have to say once again, so many of these high profile people dance around the Fair Tax but seem afraid to actually commit to it. Don't know what their game is, but I know it won't take my eye off the goal. Sometimes I think they are all in the game of what they see as "me" and not in the game of "we". Maybe they just don't understand that they can't do it without us.
I was thinking about next year on tax day; perhaps some of us just won't file taxes. I'm a law abiding citizen. However, when the federal government thumbs their nose at the Constitution and in turn, at me, I just think that some how I may have to speak a bit louder to get their attention. I am not advising anyone, I'm simply musing out loud. i'm simply fed up to here with the government taking advantage of hard working Americans.

Nancy - you have the right sentiment and I agree that we need to speak louder. However, even you point out the problem with your idea - all of us patriots are law abiding citizens. Even more, many of us will balk at the idea of creating problems for ourselves with the IRS let alone the penalities and interest we might have to pay as a result of not filing.
Having said that, what do you think of the idea that we all just apply for a filing extension? You can get a 6 month extension just by asking, no questions asked. If enough people do it then it should have the desired effect. Of course, this will be a hard sell to those who are due "refunds" but not as hard as getting those people to not file at all. Give it some thought.

I won't follow through on this, nor would I encourage anyone else. One of those ridiculous musings born of frustration.
I'm proud of Tea Party attendees, for the way we all behave, for acting like and being the typical American citizen. I think thats why so many media outlets don't like us; they can't fault us for anything.
