Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

I don't know if any of you watched the GOP debate in South Carolina last night. The Fair Tax received some significant exposure during the debate.  Cain was asked about the Fair Tax by Chris Wallace. Cain gave his wholehearted endorsement for The Fair Tax and received considerable applause for his answer.

Do you think what we are experiencing today is worse than what the founding fathers experienced with Great Britain?

I don't know, I wasn't around then (lol). Seriously, I guess they did, but I wonder if distance and time spans softened the blows some. Does the information overload we suffer make it seem worse? I just don't know. At least we don't have to start from scratch like the founding fathers did. I guess that right there answered the question, didn't it?

Well let's see, what really got things started; Townshend Act, Stamp Act, The Intolerable Acts. By todays standards they're all pretty tolerable. If FairTax won't pass maybe we should just give it all back to the throne.

Or maybe we should just burn it all down and start from scratch?
I wonder how the U.S. government would react to it if we did that and say 25% of the wealth that produces tax revenue just disappeared? There are plenty of people who have lots of empty properties sitting around.
