I received an email this morning from the DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. They will be having a conference call this afternoon.
During the campaign Obama said he would drive the lobbyists out of the temple. Let's tell him to stick to his words. What better way to do this than with the passage of the Fair Tax!
Another quote from Obama during the election;
OBAMA: In these challenging times when we're facing both rising deficits and a shrinking economy, budget reform is not an option, it's a necessity. We can't sustain a system that bleeds billions of taxpayer dollars on programs that have outlived their usefulness or exist solely because the power of politicians, lobbyists, or interest groups.

If President Obama wants "change," what better way to do it than to phase out the completely broken Federal income tax system (a system that costs Americans at least US$300 billion per year in compliance costs and rising rast!) and replace it with a tax system that is simple, encourages personal savings and investments, and will actually bring back a huge fraction of that US$10 to US$16 trillion "offshored" to provide a gigantic new base of liquidity for new loans and lines of credit?
It would be the ultimate income tax cut (e.g., 0% income tax rate!), which would cause the US economy to recover faster than an F-22A Raptor doing a high-speed turn.
