Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

I like the way Elmer Eugene O'Neill says it in his blog..."FairTax-It's an American thing" because it's so true. We should make this a very prominent statement, in words we say and in print. It has such a great non-partisan ring to it; it fosters an air of inclusiveness to all Americans and is more inviting especially since FairTax is perceived by many to be a Republican effort. It ought to be on the Main page here, on FairTax.org. Include it in all handout literature to make the FairTax idea more acceptabe to all who pay taxes. Just a thought...

Correct me if I am wrong...but if the Fair Tax as written removes ALL tax as we know it now, and there will be no more tax filing or reason for an organization to want to have to go through the expense of all the red tape of getting favors from tax. Why would they want to make the Fair Tax just like our current code?
I know there are some that have an advantage over their competitors by getting tax favors but come on....Fair Tax is not good for some, it is good for ALL!
Good for everyone Randy except tax lobbyists, tax reform groups, tax scholars, and Congress itself. In and around the tax writing committees are a lot of people who profit richly selling off the tax code. On average, they have engineered about three tax breaks a day for the last 15 years. Each loophole cut see's lobbyists paid a lot of money, scholars opining for fees, and Members of Congress getiing contributions, meals, trips and, in general--the royal treatment we thought the United States had thrown off in Philadelphia long ago.

Sure, it's bad for the country but it's also very good for the relatively small population of insiders. Don't underestimate their clout, their tricks or their determination to protect their rice bowls or royal treatment. But also don't forget that with enough of us--we can hold the trump cards.
