The FairTax is growing and we need your help to spread the word and educate folks about the benefits of the FairTax!

Our : "Five for FairTax" campaign is working!! We have been able to purchase 4' x 6' FairTax billboards to place on busy roadways. If you have (or know of anyone ) that has an area where we could place a billboard, please let us know. We are looking to place these all across OHIO!!! Exciting!!!!!!

We also need volunteers to find businesses, that would like to help promote the FairTax, by displaying a FairTax Placard (8 1/2" x 18") in their place of business.

A FairTax T-Shirt will be awarded monthly to the FairTax member that gets the most businesses and another that gets the most FairTax billboard placements!!

Three of the Dayton Mall FairTax group traveled to Washington D.C. for the ObamaCare protest. They had a good time in the rain. They were prepared to hand out FairTax literature, but the rain stopped them. Hope others were able to show their concerns.

We had our monthly FairTax meeting last night.  Had a nice group, but several were missing.  Steve Curtis was there with a list of jobs for this summer.  He would like to see FairTax at all of the festivals, fairs, parades, or any other event.  The six of us just can not be spread that thin.  So we need YOUR help.  Do you know of a festival in your area that you would like to see us there?  Can you get us a booth?  Help!

Billie, Can you give us an update on what took place at the meeting?

We WILL have our FairTax Meeting. Please bring your ideas on how to convince Congress that FairTax is the only personal tax that will help our economy. Bring any articles on taxes that might be of interest to the group. You can bring your 2012 calendar that we can schedule events that we want to attend this year. Bring your $5.00 for FairTax and we will see that they get to OHFairTax. Or anything else that would be of interest to the group.

Didn't recall seeing this here before. If I'm wrong, my bad. But we need to get behind this folks!

A note from FairTax Regional Director, Phil Hinson:

As most of you are aware, HR 1040 is the only flat tax bill in the House of Representatives, which is where tax reform legislation is supposed to originate in our system of government. I just checked on it and here is what I found.
The bill is now up to 10 co-sponsors. Hr 25 has 66.

... http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/D?d112%3A1%3A.%2Ftemp%2F%7Ebd...|/home/LegislativeData.php|

POPVOX shows 773 votes recorded on the HR 1040 page with 68% opposed. HR 25 has vote a total of 5,276 with 80% in favor. That means that approximately 4,221 voters have registered their support for HR 25, while 248 have voted for HR 1040.

Thanks to everyone who voted for HR 25 on POPVOX in 2011. If you have not yet voted, please do so this week. It only takes a few minutes.

Phil

Just sent an e-mail to WIN America asking them to consider using the FairTax as their standard as it is an already established bill (HR25/S13) and has cosponsors in each house, has been well researched, and meets their needs. I also made it clear politely that i expected a response. We'll see what happens.
