WANTED!! VOLUNTEERS TO HELP WITH UP COMING EVENTS; RALLYS, FAIRS, FESTIVALS, WALKING NEIGHBORHOODS, ETC.

The FairTax is growing and we need your help to spread the word and educate folks about the benefits of the FairTax!

Our : "Five for FairTax" campaign is working!! We have been able to purchase 4' x 6' FairTax billboards to place on busy roadways. If you have (or know of anyone ) that has an area where we could place a billboard, please let us know. We are looking to place these all across OHIO!!! Exciting!!!!!!

We also need volunteers to find businesses, that would like to help promote the FairTax, by displaying a FairTax Placard (8 1/2" x 18") in their place of business.

A FairTax T-Shirt will be awarded monthly to the FairTax member that gets the most businesses and another that gets the most FairTax billboard placements!!

Not very happy with the debate tonight as Herman Cain came out with a "999" tax reform plan? What the heck is that and what happened to the FairTax??? I had hopes that some other candidate would step up and mention the FairTax, but no such luck. Lets let these guys know we want the FairTax.

Any idea how the Dayton group meeting went? Wanted to get there, but I missed it. And did they still do the "flash event"?

This was posted by Frank on the Fairborn page:

Okay, The next "Flash Event" will be Aug. 24th at E.Dayton Yellow Springs Rd. and Commerce Center Blvd. in Fairborn from 5 pm to 6 pm. We would like to get a good turn-out and our state director has asked me to get a good group shot. So come out and have some fun with us.

If our coming from the Dayton area, the best way to come would be to get on I-675 North bound. Take the Dayton Yellow Springs Rd. exit and turn right at the top of the ramp. Two lights and your there. There is a Circle K right there. I'll follow up with where best to park as I find out.

Have a great weekend!!

We had our meeting with Rep Mike Turner's representative yesterday. it was great, you should have been there.  We had a nice turnout and Steve Curtis along with the rest of the attendee gave Valerie Lemmie a lot to think about. We requested Rep Turner's position on FairTax, and let her know that no answer was not a good answer. We had attendees from Centerville, Oakwood, Fairborn, Yellow Springs, Vandalia, Beavercreek, and Cincinnati.  I hope I didn't leave out any area.

Here is an announcement we received and Barbara plans to attend. We need your help to make it look like there are more than 2 or 3 people in Dayton that like FairTax.
I provide you the following for your information and possible action.  Clark Howard, the nationally syndicated radio and television talk show host will be at the UD Arena this Thursday for an 11:30 A.M. to 1 P.M. meeting.  Clark Howard is a really nice person, and he has a strong conservative-orientation on most subjects.  He is well-aware of the FairTax, but he has not become an advocate yet.  When he talks about taxation he lumps FairTax with the flat tax and talks about the need for changing our current system.  I tell you this because we may have an opportunity to be in the UD Arena parking lot (if security allows) or at the entrance to the property along Edwin C. Moses Boulevard waiving FairTax signs for him to see.  I think Clark is an honest person and can be swayed toward our way of thinking.  I cleared my calendar for 11:00 to 1:30 Thursday to support this initiative.  I plan to be in the Arena area for Clark to see my big ol' FairTax sign and/or snake flag.  I would appreciate any and all of you joining me there.  Winning-over Clark Howard would give the FairTax movement a significant boost because Clark would talk about it on his shows, and he has a large and loyal--he is a trusted opinion-maker.

I think the vast majority of Clark's audience at this meeting will be receptive to our signs and will honk horns to show support.  I speculate Clark will land at Dayton Airport at 10:20 and drive directly to the UD Arena.  He will likely enter the UD Arena parking lot from one of the entrances nearest I-75.  Clark is known for staying with his audience well-past the end time answering questions so he may not exit the Arena close to the 1:00 P.M. end time of the meeting.

Note:  Tickets for the luncheon may still be for sale if anyone wants to attend the luncheon and ask Clark about the FairTax in front of his largely conservative audience.
