Happy to report that our local paper (the Fairborn Daily Herald) is really showing us the love. Is it intentional? I don't know, but I'll take it. The also published two great Letters to the Editor in favor of the FairTax. This is all in the same week. What other publication is giving us this attention?
Also, its time to start thinking about "Flash Events". I'm wondering who's up for some roadside work spreading the news about the FairTax?
Hi Frank, Barbara is happy that you and some of your friends are willing to do the FairTax Flash. She would like for you to go ahead and set up the flash and let her know when and where and she and some of her friends, as well as her signs will join. (Weather and schedules permitting)
After being glad to report that the Fairborn Daily Herald was publishing the FairTax column again after the elections, I was even more surprised to find they printed a second FairTax column in three days. They had also published two other columns with differing views about the tax issue in the same week as well as published a letter to the editor from a local supporter. Folks, once again, I gotta say that the Fairborn Daily Herald is doing a great job. If your a local and a fairTax supporter, please consider showing your support for the paper by purchasing a subscription (electronic version is really inexpensive). Lets show them that we will support those who support the FairTax.
"Fair Tax Nation now has a Member Map. "http://ning.it/GC855k"; Please post your address so Ohio can be counted. Thanks."
The new "member map" is awesome. Everyone should get in on this. It would be a good way to show support to others.
Couple of things to report folks. We had our March meeting last night here in Fairborn. It was a small but active group and we covered some good material. Also would like to report we are still having columns in the Fairborn Daily Herald. Steve Curtis latest column was in Wednesday's paper. Took up a good third of the editorial page. Column was ; FairTax, Taxation for a moral society. Check the state website for this column in upcoming weeks or if you want to spend the money, do an online subscription to the Herald (its cheap) and read it there. Looking forward to one day having the FairTax enacted. Lets keep up the fight for economic freedom.
Had a great FairTax meeting last night. Got to hear from two congressional candidates at length and both seem to support the FairTax. One republican and one democrat. our republican candidate is a long time supporter and our democrat candidate is just coming on board. We also heard briefly from a candidate for Ohio's 73rd district. About 20 people came out and though we want a bigger crowd, this one was energetic and asked some really great questions. Our senatorial candidate was unable to make it, but has promised to attend our next meeting should he win in the primary.
Over in the Ohio page here in FairTax Nation, Steve Curtis (state director) gives a summary of Newt's visit and reference to the FairTax. Worth a read.
Did anyone get to go to the Gingrich event? Is there anything to report if you did? I'd really like to hear from you.
I can't be there for this as the notice was to short. But if anyone can make it, please do!! And take your FairTax clothing and signs.
