Ohio Tea Party PAC has a primary mission to support candidates and issues which embody the principles of the Ohio Liberty Council - principles which focus on limited government, fiscal responsibility, and free markets.

Just received this from the Missouri Campaign for Liberty

When; TONIGHT - Thursday, July 29, 2010 • 5:00pm - 7:00pm

Where; Across from the Fountain at the Kansas City Plaza
47th and JC Nichols Parkway
Kansas City, MO

There is a rally for Vote "NO" on Prop C in the same location, we will be across the street. They're spreading misinformation about the bill and we need to educate people on the TRUTH!

Vote "YES!" on Prop C - August 3rd

PLEASE join us in this rally!!! The Vote NO event has over 50 confirmed guests, I'd like to see KC rally behind this as big as STL does!!!

Remember, we keep it civil and go educate with love!!

Today when I went to see a movie, which many Americans do on holiday weekends, the ticket taker said “Happy 4th of July”. I gently corrected him and said “Happy Independence Day”. That got me to reflecting, why is it that so many of our most sacred holidays are reduced to trite expressions? Christmas is now Happy Holiday or Happy Xmas, Thanksgiving is Happy Turkey Day and Memorial Day is now Happy Start of Summer.

Independence Day is what the true name is of what is more commonly known as 4th of July. Most people in America are content to celebrate by shooting off fireworks, going to barbecue's, movies, or shopping. All fine activities, however, this lackadaisical attitude is part of the atmosphere of malaise that will soon have us celebrating, if we are able to do so freely or at all, just the memory of Independence Day.

Samuel Adams said “It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” People say “I'm too busy with kids, work, bills, life in general.” I say why can we not, in these days of relative ease and comfort, of air conditioned everything, 24 hour fast food, free libraries, cable TV and Michael Jackson video re runs, do something to support the cause of freedom and liberty?

Freedom isn't free and the price paid has been and will continue to be steep. My challenge to all of us reading this is to do more to keep those brushfires of freedom burning before the next Independence Day. Be an informed American: vote, call/fax/email/write your representative when they dare do anything that encroaches upon your freedoms. If you have the ability, run for office, even if it is your local city council or state office. Finally do not let those we put into office rest until they uphold the Constitution and support freedom and liberty for all Americans.

Brian Willis said…Hi Billie, I got your message about needing Ohio Tea Party websites. I'm not sure if I can add these myself, but here they are for you if you can add them.

http://www.cincinnatiteaparty.org/
http://www.daytonteaparty.org/
http://www.columbusteaparty.com/
http://www.clevelandteaparty.com/
http://www.cantonohioteaparty.com/

And there is the following site for Ohio which has membership across multiple Tea Party groups and other groups like Ohio Freedom Alliance and OH 912.
http://www.ohiolibertycouncil.com/

Regards,
Brian
