Why tax only American Jobs?




More than one third of our nation’s income comes from Social Security taxes , because people work. More than another third of our income comes from income taxes on the salaries and wages of people who work. Most of the rest comes from taxes on employers, much of it because they hire workers. All of these taxes have to be embedded in the prices charged for things made by American labor.

Our basic fiscal policy is absurd and should be scrapped. Largely devised seventy to a hundred years ago, it is hopelessly antiquated and is ill suited to our present highly automated global environment. Most all of our taxes and often healthcare are embedded in the prices that must be charged for things produced by American firms and American labor. This hinders our ability to fund needed programs and makes us less competitive globally.

Why penalize employers for having workers? All the income and social security taxes an employee pays on wages comes from the employer. The employer must also pay his share of the worker’s Social Security. Then there are unemployment taxes and workman’s compensation taxes because he employs workers. At least two thirds of our nation’s income is derived from taxes on American Labor.
