Exciting news from Leo Linbeck and Americans for FairTaxation!

For all of us who have worked so long and hard to pass the FairTax, this is a great day! Americans for Fair Taxation is about to launch a massive and powerful nationwide program to add hundreds of thousands of new supporters to work for passage of FairTax legislation.

We will simultaneously launch an internet, direct mail and telephone driven campaign to recruit the enormous citizen army we need to win passage of the FairTax. Then we will move to TV and radio. And then on to passage and the signing of the FairTax law, and the repeal of the 16th Amendment.

It will not be easy, but accomplishing great things is never easy.

We will end the destructive Federal Income Tax, close the doors of the I.R.S. forever, and eliminate all payroll withholding. Every worker will receive 100% of their pay. Every pensioner will receive and keep 100% of their Social Security interest income and other pension payments. And everyone, even those whose income is not legally derived, will pay their taxes whenever they buy something new. There will be no more income tax cheats, no advantage to having offshore bank accounts and no more gimmicks, loopholes or tricky amendments that benefit special interest groups, the politically well-connected or the wealthy.

American businesses can again fairly compete with foreign producers and stop making business decisions based on the tax code.

Hundreds of billions of dollars will be saved in tax preparation. Tens of millions of Americans will no longer have to endure the frustration of tax forms and filings. April 15 will become just another day, the one right between April 14 and 16, nothing more or less.

Many tax lobbyists will lose 75% or more of their business, and will need to find something productive to do. Congress will no longer be able to pit one American against another in endless tax debates that never improve the system.

Regressive federal taxation will be lifted from the shoulders of the poor and new investments in the productive private sector of our economy will create critically needed job growth and a new era of American prosperity.

And perhaps the best part is that trillions of dollars in off-shore investments will rush into our economy, creating a huge economic boom just when we most need one. The first step in launching our new campaign is extensive testing which will take place over the next several months. A significant percentage of the entire voting public across the political spectrum will soon receive carefully designed test messages, packages and phone calls to determine our very best unified approach.

We are sure you agree that taking the FairTax campaign to the next needed level and having it powerfully work is something we have all been waiting for. Now is our chance to finally put the FairTax on the lips of every American and on its way in Congress. America needs the FairTax, and every poll shows the American people have never been more frustrated and willing to change our badly broken tax system in a meaningful way than right now.

Your work has never been more important. And your help in coordinating messages has never been more important to our cause.
