As many of you have heard, we have decided to end our Congressional campaign. Tim, Not Tammy will missing the Tim part.
There is not a great news story here; no juicy sex scandal, no heroic fight against a deadly disease, no backroom deal brokered by secret world government billionaire bankers.
We are ending the race because we will be moving out of the district before the November election.
It would be dishonest to ask people to give their money, their time, and their passion to a candidate who could not assume the office he had been elected to hold.
I am not moving to Mars. I will continue to write the weekly blog, to speak at events, to work for Liberty candidates, and to build the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin.
Tim, Not Tammy has always been a contest between opposing principles - Liberty and Government. This contest will go on to November and beyond, just without me on the ballot.
When I started the Tim, Not Tammy campaign, it was just me and the Libertarian Party of Wisconsin. Now we have tea parties, Liberty groups, Patriot groups, talk radio, and liberty republicans carrying libertarian ideals forward. The revolution is on, and I'm not getting off the bus, just changing stops.
I already have a job that is far more important than being a Congressman. I create the jobs they talk about. I provide the health care they promise. I trade in the global economy they fear. They talk about national security, energy, infrastructure; I do those things.
I am a Capitalist - Shi'ite Capitalist even. You need us more than you need politicians. We create the prosperity that they destroy; so I am quite happy to remain on the side of the angels across the producer/looter divide.
I want to thank each of you for your support of my campaign over the past 18 months. For the thousands who now follow these weekly blog posts, rest assured I will keep writing as long as you keep reading and telling your friends. You will love next week's piece, I guarantee it.
So I bid you farewell as Dr. Tim, Congressional candidate. And I will see you next week as Dr. Tim, Libertarian Capitalist.

See...now I JUST discovered you in your LAST post on Hate Speech and was so happy to see there was someone SO thoughtful, articulate, and insightful running in a campaign. I hope that you will run again at some point in your new location. It's OUR loss, really.
Good luck with move. I was military raised and am a military spouse...I KNOW what moving can be like. Hope it goes as smoothly as those things can go.
