Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25
Participating in something worth doing!
It has been a while since I have been involved in something big... For some reason though, the tax bills and bail outs in congress have peaked my usually unpolitical agenda!
I have now become involved in creating a Tax Day TEA Party here in my home town of Martin, TN. Though doing something this huge in 2 1/2 weeks is something most people would not even consider undertaking, I am viewing this not only as totally possible, but also a thrill!
I am involving myself in my first political event, where I am not just a participant, but also the coordinator! It will actually be held on my 35th birthday, and it is for something I believe in! How much better does it get than that? So YES I can do this! And I will do it well! There is simply no other option!
Today I wrote a press release as well as the beginnings of a potential speech, should I not be able to get another speaker in time for this event... I faxed a copy of the proposed press release to every news paper, radio station and television news channel local to our area... I also faxed or emailed copies to our local representatives including, but not limited to federal legislators and county/state representatives.
Tomorrow I will be approaching the local businesses in town to reach out for their aid in this effort. By hanging flyers in store fronts, and using the power of word, as well as purchasing poster board and wide tip markers (*from a local supplier rather than the big 'W') to donate for signs the day of the event, I believe they will be an incredible asset in this endeavor!
I prefer to live in a Fair Tax Nation and will do what I can to make that possible for all of us as well as our future generations!

Good work! I know of a group of people who would have more outreach than ACORN! Churches, I am trying to get some Pastors I know to start getting involved.........put some pressure on area Churches.....cross the denominations.... and reach out......they have a responsibility - more than most!
