Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

Rep. Steve King Stands up For The American Dream and Offers FairTax as a Solution to Today's Economic Meltdown.

It starts now with Rep Cliff Stearns of Florida talking about FairTax! GO FAIRTAX GO! CSPAN link: http://www.cspan.org/Watch/C-SPAN_wm.aspx

Our current economic crisis will not be solved through tax increases or massive government spending. In these tough times, we need an innovative solution on Capitol Hill: the FairTax. The FairTax is the best and most effective way to encourage business growth and positive, long-term economic performance. Enacting the FairTax would usher in a new period of American economic growth, create new jobs across the country and give American citizens more control over their own paychecks. On Tuesday, March 17, several of my House colleagues and I will spend an hour on the House floor discussing the merits of the FairTax and sharing its positive message with CSPAN viewers. Our goal is to educate and inform more Americans about the FairTax and how it can help American workers and businesses. Millions of Americans have either never heard of the FairTax or do not know enough about it, but as more people hear about the FairTax, support grows. My hope is that this hour and similar opportunities in the future will add to the groundswell of national FairTax support. I spent 28 years running my own construction business, and I remember thinking that if I was ever in a position to help dismantle the IRS, I would do everything I could to make that happen. Right now we need the FairTax not only because our federal tax system is broken beyond repair, but because it will help unemployed Americans find new jobs and help families pay their bills. Now is the time to position the FairTax in the center of the ongoing economic debate in Congress, the White House and throughout America. Rep. Steve King

It is not about the money, but it is all about restoring our Country to it's original roots!

Pull out all stops! We need everyone who is for the FairTax in DC to stir up the troops! Call on every Pastor, every business leader to sign-up for the FairTax.org/FairTaxNation, etc., and await further marching orders. Stir up every Congregation, every business in this country and send DC a message. We are coming to get our Country back!

Have you been listening to the news? You can't make this stuff up. Those idiots in DC are threatening everyone at some stage with the Tax Code. They threaten the non-profit orgs by cutting back on what people can deduct from their taxes They threaten to leave our service men with injuries on their own. They allowed banks to create this mortgage mess. You can go on and on. They set the rules and do not enforce them. Oh yeah, Immigration. What a Joke!!!!

I have no respect for this Federal Goverment. If they folded tomorrow, it would be fine with me, I hate to say it. I am praying that we will take our Government back before it is too late.

The Feds have screwed up our schools, our colleges, our health care, our housing industry, our credibilty as a nation. Leadership sets the tone. They are the problem. This is not what this country is all about!

It speaks volumes that the Leadership of this country's only goal is destroy this country.
There can be no other explanation.

You just can't make this stuff up!!!!!!
It is totally Insane!

Maybe we can find a General to take over before is too late! As far as I am concerned, if our Country every needed protection, it is now! If our Grandparents were around to see this, they would have already marched on DC and "fixed" it.

Thank you Rep. King for helping bring this issue to the forefront for the American people to decide upon! We believe the FairTax will show itself superior to any current taxing system and that most Americans will recognize this fact and choose the FairTax over our current system, if they only have the chance! Thank you for all your work!

Thank you, Congressman King for taking the lead to host this discussion. I hope you will emphasize the key point that the FairTax effectively UNtaxes the poor, a point that I believe will go a long way toward persuading many naysayers. I have used that point myself to bring a number of these people around to supporting the FairTax myself. That one point alone is what won them over.

Would working men and women along with business like to rid themselves of TAX SLAVERY??!!! I think they would but they just don't get it! They work for 3 to 4 months to cover the expense of the record keeping and the mulcting of their income. they pay 30 to 35% too much for goods (and services) because there is 23% embedded in what they buy because of payrool tax withholding and employer contribution; there is also another 10 to 12% added because of the cost of income tax contribution and more record keeping by business which is all passed on to the consumer making our goods non-competitive in the market place. This system chases manufacturing offshore and investment and savings as well. Why cannot the people understand this? Why do the politicians continue to uphold this evil and destructive system? Is it because BIG CORP has them bought and paid for? When are the people going to get some spine and stand up and be heard??!!! Apathy, complacency, ignorance and BLISS! How much longer will BLISS last as we slide down the terrible slope into STAGFLATION (loss of value in our holdings and in our labor while prices inflate)!!!!

Thank you Rep. King for bringing the FairTax forward as the alternative to fix our broken tax system. Here in North Alabama, we are working to convince your colleague Rep. Parker Griffith of Alabama's 5th Congressional District to become a co-sponsor of HR 25.

I thank all our members of congress who stand behind the Fair Tax. And I will be watching my own State Representitives to see where they stand as well. I know that I only represent one vote to them but they will soon see that I am one vote among many...
