Tell the Obama team to support the Fair Tax

With having posted on the Obama website, change.gov, I just received an email with more ways to give ideas to him.

From the email:
We wanted to tell you about a new feature on Change.gov which lets you bring your ideas directly to the President.

It's called the Citizen's Briefing Book, and it's an online forum where you can share your ideas, and rate or offer comments on the ideas of others.

This is another way to try to get the Obama team to listen and implement this idea. And the timing for pushing the Fair Tax is ideal right now. The Fair Tax is the ULTIMATE stimulus package without costing the taxpayers $700 million to over $1.3 trillion dollars.

I think it would be most effective to limit the comments to just a few of the posts on the Fair Tax and rate those to get their ratings as high as possible. If we can get enough people to do this, we will at the very least attract someone's attention in the Obama transition team.

You do have to register to rate or comment on the site.

Comment by Wayne Jett on January 15, 2009 at 11:14pm: I think showing voting support for Fair Tax at the change.gov site helps to get attention to the subject, and quite a few people are commenting with strong support.

BTW, in case it hasn't been mentioned, Mike Huckabee's show on FNC last Saturday featured an interview of Ann Coulter during which the Fair Tax Act was discussed. Unfortunately, Ann generally supported the idea that Fair Tax is a very good and conservative tax plan "but will never be adopted because it can't raise nearly enough revenue." Obviously, Ann is being influenced by people who don't know, such as maybe Newt G., but ought to be willing to listen if someone who knows the legislation corners her. She was pretty busing fending off MH for various criticisms and unfair attacks aimed at him in her previous writings.
