In the 2 weeks we've had this up, we've sold a couple hundred tickets. We'll be taking the completed bike on a trailer to TN and other events and expect to sell most of the ticket after people can see it. All those specs mean something to some people, but it's all Greek to me!

Most of these funds are going into our supply store to ramp up promotion for FairTax in areas outside the SE. We have an "Event Kit" for $100 with FairTax window clings, flags, temp tattoos, bandanas, balloons, pens and fans. These items can either be given away or for donation that stays with that group as seed money for their next event. We're hoping each event kit will bring each group $150 - $200 to the local group, altho' they can give away whatever they want. Jim I'm hoping more folks will support this effort by joining GRFR, along with donations for raffle tickets - we need better support throughout the country and it takes money. We finally have that bridge with the national organization via GRFR and it's been largely ignored by current FairTaxers. Have you checked out our Chapter Captains Page at
We really are trying to help smaller groups get established. Are there areas in TN with someone who wants to lead the FairTax movement? Whether they bike or not, they can form a chapter and buy small amounts of supplies for a low price. This is the program I'd really like to support. If we don't make some major growth by the 2010 election, I'm out. We don't have 14 more years to discuss this. We need people of action to get out there - not necessarily at a booth - but somewhere visible doing what they enjoy. I talked to a runner in GA that I'm hoping will form the Grass Roots Freedom Runners. They can collect pledges on their runners and be seen doing something fun!

Any suggestions to promote that program is what I'd really like. No one is getting paid in this program, so the only benefit is to make it easier for new groups to form any where in the country.

Carol,

Tell us how many tickets you have sold so far and I will see what I can do to ramp this thing up. You have a good idea here. Let's get on with it.

When this gets done, lets do one with an antique vette. ;o)

If you like, I think we can figure out how to do a fund Raiser thermometer on the front page... maybe...
