At 12:27pm on April 6, 2009, Teresa J. Geron said…: I don't plan to attend the evening Tea Party. I called in to Dirk Thompson on 610 yesterday and although I think they are great they are unfocused. The original Tea Party protested a direct tax on tea. Reps to government knew how to fix the unrest by repealing the tax. These Tea Parties have a ton of people who, from what I've seen, lack cohesion on the best way/solution to our currect demise. A bunch of people shouting "less spending/lower taxes" falls on deaf ears without directly telling our legislators what to do about it. I was the only person at the March Tea Party with Fair Tax literature/signage. Until we have everyone or large masses of people carrying a No IRS/FairTax sign, I'm afraid we will continue to be ignored. Plus, it's at NIGHT. All of the legislators & workers have gone home. I do not intend this to be negative at all so I'm sorry if that's how it's read. I just strongly believe we need Large Massive Visualization to make any impact.
