A former boss of mine introduced me to the FairTax back in 2008. I was sold! I got the chance to return to college in 2010 and with English, one always has essays, so I did mine on FairTax and I was amazed at all I learned about what the plan encompasses--not just sales tax as most assume. I ended up being very good at writing and my English professor suggested I put this out there for others from which to learn. I followed that suggestion and went on to write a book about it, because in my opinion the FairTax Plan gets complex to the everyday person. I know when I was working on my research and speaking with fellow students--many were blown away when I suggested abolishing the IRS. So, I wrote a book that simplifies it. FairTax Simplified (here is the link on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/FairTax-Simplified-ebook/dp/B006V4XCEU/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1326722820&sr=1-1 and here is my website: www.richbatemanbooks.com. Thanks for allowing me to introduce myself! :D

Thanks Gilbert regarding the Letters to the Editor Group, but alas...another similar and farther reaching group has been created. I just sent a note to all of you in the L2TE group that on 8/1 I'll be closing the group! Looking forward to seeing you in the WritersRoom... http://www.fairtaxnation.com/group/writersroom
I think I already responded as 'will attend', but I'll check. Great job! I just keep thinking if MORE people would 'try' to send to their papers with 'more' regularity, maybe we could really get the folks thinking about it or looking into it. Anyway, if you hadn't said you wanted some help responding to that 'unworkable' comment, I don't know that I would have tried, so...you played a role in that too! See ya at the meeting. Keep up the good work! P
Thanks Frank...I'll let Billie know that you 'minded' her . LOL
CONGRATS on your letter making into the DDNs! How cool is that that BOTH our letters are in there back to back??? I hope it's alright, but I posted on the main discussion page about BOTH our letters with the link. Maybe others will be inspired as well...
Hi Frank & Connie, I went to the Liberty group meeting at Roush's yesterday. Then to the office. So today I am babying my foot. I think I did too much. It was a very good meeting. There were probably 20 or more there. We had the lady with petitions to get different candidates on the ballot, a member that will attend the "how to run a campaign", a member that is attending the "constitution" class at UD. And I think one of the members attended and will participate in GOOOH. Of course, we had the ususal Liberty group information. We had a survey to complete so CJ can determine what the group would like for the coming year. Hope to see you Tuesday at the Beavercreek meeting. Billie
Good luck on your presentation on the 20th Frank. I'm in Ohio quite often, and I have noticed that there is a huge demand for Fairtax. I have several friends in Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinatti where I teach other financial planners.
I have started an organization that helps get people who support the Fair Tax initiative to get elected. You can see more at www.billybarepockets.com. Please help us make sure potential candidates go to our website and complete the short questionaire.
I hope you will check our website out, and let me know how we might be able to serve you in your efforts.
