Rossville, GA FairTax Rally

Posted on April 13, 2009 at 4:21pm 0 Comments

I just wanted to remind everyone that we are holding a FairTax demonstration at the Rossville post office in Rossville, Georgia on this Wednesday, April 15, 2009.

If you are in the immediate area and can stop by at all, even if only your lunch break, we'd certainly value your help...especially since, thus far, my two eldest sons (ages 15 and 12) and I are the only participants.

But, guess what? We are going to do it anyway!

I also have a request in to a friend… Continue

Two FairTax Letters Published!

Posted on March 22, 2009 at 7:29pm 3 Comments

Well, I was very excited two weeks ago, when I got my first FairTax letter to the editor published in my local county paper (Walker County Messenger) here in northwest Georgia, but...

I was doubly excited when I got my second FairTax letter to the editor published just five days later in the Chattanooga Times-Free Press, a paper with a much larger circulation!

I have finished reading The FairTax Book and am almost finished reading FairTax: The Truth, and I am determined to… Continue

FairTax Letter Text Published

OK, many of you have been waiting, as I have for my letter to the editor of our local paper to appear online.

Well, wouldn't ya know it...They printed it in the paper, but not online thus far. So, I have decided to post it here and get on with it.

My hope is that it will inspire others to do the same in their local publications. Hopefully the events of late has awakened the sleeping giant of the American people because we are not willing to let the Liberals, Socialists,… Continue

That's ok. We do what we can when we can. One of AFFT community coordinators told me I needed to get monthly meetings started. This woman has been a huge help to me, though she lives three hours away. We met here on FTN. I was frustrated because I felt like the only FairTaxer in my community. My first meeting is scheduled for May 7 in our local library (free of charge) and we'll be focusing on education and raising awareness of the Fair Tax. You can place an ad in the event section of the newspaper for free, so I'm doing that, too.

I downloaded some of the fliers here and on fairtax.org and have passed them around in the cubbyhole sections of mail boxes - not the actual mail box itself.

I share this with you to give you some ideas of what you can do. Our meetings will be monthly and those who become supporters will attend so we can work on ways to get the word out.

Best of luck and keep in touch.

Good for you on getting your letters published! I'm beginning to think my local paper has an agenda. They've always published my letters in the past on other issues, but can't get a nibble on this one. Hmmm. I'll get it done one way or another.

Chris, your efforts will not go unrewarded. Have some hand outs ready and talk to the people. You'll do great. Have you found a meeting to attend in your area? I'm starting one in my community here in Ohio in May then once a month thereafter. If you need help with this, come to this site and the people here can help.
Best of luck on Tax Day! Notify local media of your event if you haven't done so already.

Hello Chris,

Welcome to the site.

Please join your states group under the 'Groups' tab at the top. We are planning a huge year for the FairTax in 2009 so you came to the right place.

Please invite every FairTax supporter you know to join as well. We want to build an army of supporters as quickly as we can.

Thanks for Joining FairTax Nation!

Hi Chris

Welcome to FairTax Nation!

FairTax Nation a site designed and managed by FairTax volunteers to serve the needs of FairTax advocates by providing a place to share ideas, find resources and create new opportunities with the goal of passing the FairTax HR 25.

On Nation we are working on many projects. One is our 50 State Campaign. We want to link at least 1,000 active volunteers in each state to work together in a national effort to pass the FairTax. That would give us at least 50,000 active volunteers able to communicate, plan events, etc. I know some people want a FairTax rally in Washington D.C. This is how we build the organization to make this event and many others possible.

Please feel free to invite your FairTax friends to join us.

Thank you!
Dave Sibole
