Hi Everyone,
I'm with the Orange County, NC GOP and we're helping to organise a Tax Day Tea Party in Hillsborough/Orange County North Carolina, and anyone who is unhappy with the present tax and spend system in Washington is welcome to come join us! We've invited FairTaxNC to come and be represented at the Tea Party, and we'd love to see FairTax have a good turnout and get your ideas out. Here are the event details,
Date/Time: April 15, 5:30-6:30 PM
Location: The grounds of the Historic Orange County Courthouse, 104 E. King St., Hillsborough, NC
Speakers: We will be having former Raleigh mayor and noted North Carolina conservative Tom Fetzer keynoting this event. Also speaking will be a number of local citizens who will provide a firsthand taxpayer's perspective on what we see going on in Washington and how it affects us.
Details: There is some parking on the street block surrounding the courthouse - King, Court, Margaret, and Cameron Sts. There is also pay parking available in the public parking deck behind the Weaver St. Market about two blocks from the Old Courthouse. Cost for parking is minimal.
We encourage folks to bring their lawnchairs with them, though if we have enough people turn out, it might just be standing room only! There is plenty of sidewalk space surrounding the Old Courthouse, so bring your signs.
Handbilling is allowed, so this will be a good place for FairTax to distribute information about your organisation and about the Fair Tax. This will also be a good opportunity to network with other conservatives so that we can start working together better. Come on out and let's look beyond just having a Tea Party, but also getting together and getting acquainted so we can work for the common goals of fiscal responsibility, reduced tax burden, and controlling runaway spending!
Thank you,
Tim Dunkin
