Thank you for sharing this!
To Senator Burr via his website www.burr.senate.gov

Please do not take the time to reply, I know your time is better spent elsewhere.

I just wanted to contact you to thank you for co-sponsoring the FairTax bill (HR.25/S.296) and helping America help itself.

As I'm sure you are aware the over taxation of this countries economy has been killing it for many years, not just in this current economic downturn.
We as American's have taken the steps to better the system of taxation and we value any and all support from all sides of the political spectrum.

As you also may know there are no Democratic sponsors of the FairTax bill. The FairTax is a non-partisan bill that will help America regardless of political affiliation, so anything you can do in Washington to aid in bringing Democrats onboard we appreciate.

Thank you sir!!

I believe we need to get the Democrats onboard more than ever now.
Thanks, Tony.
I'll send the senator a thank-you also.

I agree, Tony. We need Democrats more than ever. The first 2 petitions I got signed for AFFT were signed by Democrats. We've got to get them on board.

Letter sent.

Congressman Dan Boren [D, OK] reported to OKFairTax members at a meeting today that he will re co-sponsor the FairTax for 2009.

Is he our only Democrat co-sponsor??
Either way its great news!!

Am thrilled to hear this! I emailed him about a month ago encouraging him to once more, cosponsor Fair Tax. I like to think that all the contacts we make to representatives and senators do have some impact.
Hooray!
The number of Senate cosponsors will exceed the number from last session's total of four with Boren's signing. Hopefully this is a sign of momentum building. Congratulations OK!
FANTASTIC!
Dan,
Dan Boren is in the House, not the Senate. The significance to Boren's signing on is that he's a Democrat. Still, if we can get the other OK Senator to sign on, we'll be ahead in the Senate of where we were in the last two congresses.
Best regards,
~Jim
Jim

Thanks for the correction. I'm not sure why I thought he was in the Senate but in any case each signing is a victory.
Both Senator Coburn and Imhofe co-sponsor the FairTax.
We are only short 1 (Tom Cole) in congress to have a complete delegation supporting the FairTax :)
Ummm.... I don't see Senator Imhofe's name on the above list?
