Join Forces with Tea Party Patriots For More Exposure
I received an email from Tea Party Patriots. It is a rather lengthy email but one part was of particular interest. The section is titled "Contract From America". it explains this is a project involving a contract submitted from the people to 2010 candidates for their signatures. A committee will evaluate planks to be included in the contract.
TPP is inviting groups to join them in a coalition to help form the planks of the contract. TPP offers to provide a link to the coalition members website in exchange for promoting TPP. This seems to be an excellent opportunity for FairTaxNation to expand its visibility and spread the word. I'm posting this discussion to put it out for debate and get your input. The excerpt is below.
As you may know, Tea Party Patriots has launched a new project called Contract FROM America. Instead of being created by politicians, this contract will originate FROM We, the People. People from around the country are currently submitting ideas related to our core values, which are then put up on the website to be commented upon and ranked by other visitors to the site. After a period of months a committee will evaluate the planks which that have the highest rankings and present a final ballot to be voted upon by the general membership of www.contractfromamerica.com. The final contract will then be announced and offered to candidates for elected office in 2010. Candidates will then be able to sign the contract to to show their support for a specific agenda with the goal of nationalizing the 2010 election around a core set of ideas, in line with tea party movement core values. With your help the Contract FROM America will define the philosophical ground on which the 2010 election is fought.
I am writing you today to ask you to officially become part of the coalition of groups which stands shoulder to shoulder with the Contract FROM America. To do so, all you need to do is to send an email to contractcoalition@gmail.com with the official name of your organization and your contact information as organizer for confirmation purposes. As a coalition member, we ask you to promote ContractFROMAmerica.com to your membership and at your events and encourage people to become active participants in shaping the contract. In return your organization will be listed on the CFA website as a coalition member with a link back to your website. This will be similar to the listing of TPP affiliates which currently exists on teapartypatriots.org.
Please take this opportunity to become a coalition member, and please forward this email to any grassroots groups you know in your area that are in support of the goals of the tea party movement.

I would love to read that email. Could you forward it to me? Maybe put it in my Inbox here.
I have had a hard time supporting the "Tea Party" groups because of their take over by the RNC. They have a tendency to say they don't want to endorse anyone. Then toe the party line and only invite speakers that are "affiliated".

Thanks a bunch. That was definitely time well spent. It's time that people are finally starting to realize that the GOP has abandoned their base.
I personally don't see any difference in either of the 2 major parties.
It was interesting listening to the CA RNC "leader" trying to justify their position.
I sometimes wonder where the FairTax will end up with both parties not willing to support it. Hopefully, I'm wrong with that statement.

I received an e-mail from "Patriotic Resistance" today concerning the "Tea Party Patriots". From what I could tell it had to do with an internal fight with one of their leaders being ousted. If any one else saw this, or if I need to post it for others to see, please let me know. I'm not trying to pass judgment but I feel it needs to be checked out if we are thinking of trying to link up with them.
