Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

We need to keep 2 lists. Those in office that we want to stay and those we want to go. Coast2Coast has started a dialog to figure out how to keep track of this, and I'm not proposing an unpaid job for anyone, but here's my 2 cents worth.

John McCain & Lindsay Graham have to be at the top of the list of those to go. Their support for cap and trade is unbelievably callously unaware of the economic harm this would cause American businesses and even homeowners heating and cooling bills. That cow & pig flatulence tax is a despicable way to punish farmers who are the backbone of the U.S.A.!

I still like Congressman Mike Turner a lot but we've got to get him on board with the Fair Tax.

Mike Turner made Stephen Ayers (Architect of the Capitol) allow the young boy who requested a veterans flag for his grandfather be allowed to have a reference to GOD, Family & Country in the notecard attached to his flag.

Mike Turner is going after the Marines for not protecting Vandalia native Marine Lance Corporal Maria Lauterbach better when she and her pre-born infant were slain, burned and buried in Cesar Lorean's backyard. I just heard yesterday that Lorean was extradited from Mexico to the U.S. for trial.

Mike Turner protects air force jobs and is protecting our country.

Mike Turner brought $500,000 to Dayton RTA so people didn't have to wait an hour for the buses in the freezing sleet and ice and snow (at my request because we were standing out in the summer heat for an hour after busy days legal secretarying downtown).

When Mike Turner asks for $ for Dayton, he uses the proper open request process and he never tries to hide requests.

This man is fighting so hard for morality that we have to sell him on the idea that it's either the FairTax or Term Limits. What do you all think about this idea?

I love Barbara Wilson's postcards that she passed out at the Dayton Tea Party: "You're Fired unless you support the FairTax!"

> A black list may say something but we probably shouldn't go there. To blatantly call for ousting a particular politician is what FairTax.org is prohibited from doing. We don't necessarily have to be bound by that limitation here, but I think it could have a negative effect. We might actually lose a supporter now and then. A better tool would be similar to FairTax.org's lists of support in Congress. We need to add to that a reference showing the individual responses of Senators and Congressmen. By knowing how they respond to letters, emails, etc. we can learn who is pro, con, or fence sitting. We can then direct our efforts toward them appropriately.
If Turner supportered the FairTax, Is he strong enough in the district to hold off being attacked by lies from the DCCC?

IF not, is the FairTax grassroots strong enough to come to his aid? Maybe we need to develop a strong grassroots in that district to support him. He may be more inclined to cosponsor.

In my district, there is no reason not to support FairTax. Blackburn is strong and she could be a strong advocate for it. She should be on the blacklist as far as I am concerned. She stands against the FairTax. She is the queen of "NO".
I feel the same way about my congressman, Jim Jordan. He's consistently voted no the bail outs (Bush's too) and the stimulus; he has voted no all the way. He wants the tax code to be simpler, he says nothing negative that I've heard, about the Fair Tax and he's very fiscally conservative. We need to get him on board. Pat Tiberi is the only representative in Ohio that supports the Fair Tax. How can we get him talking to the public and working with other Ohio reps.?

I have to watch myself because lately I've been losing patience with Rep Jordan over this issue. He's so on board with everything else, I just cannot understand why he's holding back!
how strong is he in the district?
Jim, which one, Jordan or Tiberi? I've spoken with both offices.
either.
Trying to get a strong grass root effort here in my district and hopefully Jordan will take notice.
My impression of Tiberi is that he's luke warm. However, his is listed at Fair Tax.org as supporting it. We need to get him going. Maybe he needs some red post cards?

With Jordan, I can't get a straight answer as to why he isn't supporting the Fair Tax. He's not listed as opposing, just as not supporting. My hope is that once I get my group going here in Marion Co., we can change that. I've been distributing lots of literature and my first meeting is May 7.

I've bugged Jordan about this more times than I remember. We've had townhall teleconference calls and it's brought up by numerous constituents every time.
All I can say is that I've been listening to Rick Santelli for years since I day traded for one year from home (when I was married, of course) and never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine that his rant on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange would set off a spree of Tea Parties that are still being planned for the 4th of July and Labor Day.

Laura Ingraham said that it is a Great Day In America! I understand that it might help to work with the people who are in office, and that some of them may be there for quite awhile longer, as it's highly unlikely that we'll get term limits passed by those in office.

So, realistically, we need to keep the momentum of the Tea Parties going, to let Washington D.C. know we're serious about real change. I think we need an all-of-the-above approach -- try to convince current leaders we're looking for fresh faces whether either party supports them or not, try to get our current favorite public officials on board, but in the end, the people may have to take charge by putting forth their own Constitutional FairTax Amendment.

I know it's never been done before, but America was designed for the people to be free and to take charge of their own destinies. We've sat on our hands in complacency too long, and now the momentum is in our favor, and we have to take advantage of it.

Maybe they can't hear us yet, but as the movement grows, our voices will get louder and louder. Keep the great ideas coming, and if you want to sharpen your FairTax debating skills, join me in an "If You Support the FairTax Discussion" at the new Tea Party Patriots website.

Let's keep the excitement going and never, ever, ever give up!
Vote only for representatives who support Fairtax. Pass it on. IE: Mike Huckabee for president.

IN MY OPINION! Representatives who do not support Fairtax either do not have enough / correct information or are somehow (illegally) receiving benefit from the current tax system. Is there another reason not to support Fairtax?
In general, the libertarian party is not for Fairtax as the libertarian party maintains that income tax is theft and there for should be eliminated ! Also Campaign for liberty also has a similar outlook and they want to abolish the IRS for similar reasons and to make the government live by the original framers constitutional rules. Both of these groups are fighting to eliminate income-tax just as Fairtax supporters are also fighting to eliminate the Oppressive IRS! That means that both of these groups are considered to be helping our cause even though they do not specifically support Fairtax. I am a Libertarian, I believe the Fairtax is necessary to reach the goal of eliminating income tax. It will first eliminate the IRS, then it will let people know exactly what they are paying in tax every time they pay for some thing retail. That will spark the next revolution to reduce that sales tax hopefully to zero. The Fairtax will also increase the money available to pay off this huge Debt government is placing in our hands now assuming we can elect representatives who will use it for that. We can not black list every Libertarian or Ron Paul supporter or campaign for liberty supporter. They are essentially on our side even though, they may not be able to see the forest through the trees. What we can do is get the workd out to ONLY support candidates who support Fairtax. Mike Huckabee for president.
I suggest you all start looking into running. And don't tell me it's impossible. That's what the other side is saying about us. There is a site you might want to investigate that supports the Fair Tax. Look carefully at it (caveat emptor) but it is trying to replace all 435 members. It's goooh.com. Anyway, I'm looking into all possibilities of running against Heath Shuler. At least, I might make enough noise to make a difference.
