Nancy and Teresa I am so glad you girls are on FairTax Nation. I just went to several other groups and there are either no comments or few comments since APRIL 15th. And they wonder why FairTax has not got sponsors!

None the less, the sidewalk still provides an opportunity to take Fair Tax to the public. I suggest some really good signs!

Seems like it's informal & there aren't going to be official speakers & presenters.

Here it is: Meetup agenda:

The Columbus Tea Party and Pay Cut For Congress have obtained permission from the city of Columbus to hold a sidewalk rally on High Street in front of the Statehouse. The theme will be Government spending and the degradation of natural rights. This will be a great opportunity to promote the 912 principles as well as the Central Ohio 912 organization. We, the Ohio Liberty Council, are planning to have fliers available promoting the August 1st rally to pass out at this event.

Protest signs are permitted. No sound equipment, tables or booths. The rally will be limited to the sidewalk. The Statehouse grounds are off limits.

July 3rd 4-8PM.
I don't know if it's still a "go" or not & am trying to find out.

Hi Folks, if you don't have anything to do on the 3rd of July.... The Dayton Tea Party is in Brookville. Check events. We could use your help at the FairTax Booth. Contact Barbara Wilson if you can attend. Then on the 4th of July we will be at the West Carrollton celebration. Again, we will have a FairTax Booth and we could use your help. Billie in Beavercreek

I just received the following email re: Tea Party:

Columbus Tea Party - July 4th Canceled

June 26th, 2009
July 4th Columbus Tea Party canceled - August 1st set. Forward, forward forward....

Dear Nancy,

Due to an overwhelming request of those who attended the Tax Day Tea Party this July 4th Event has been canceled. The decision was made due to the July 4th Holiday being very busy for all and the overwhelming desire for everyone to enjoy the holiday with their loved ones Surround yourself with your loved ones and friends on our Independence Day. Use this special day to focus in on what we are all fighting for; Independence...

The next event is right around the corner on August 1st and details and links are below.

August 1st Ohio Liber-Tea Party Scheduled!
On Aug. 1st at 2PM, Citizens from across the state of Ohio will converge on the Statehouse in Columbus for the first state wide Ohio Tea Party. The Ohio Liber-Tea Party will focus on promoting and initiating local action and Constitutional solutions to problems.

What can you expect from The Ohio Liber-Tea Party? The Ohio Liber-Tea Party will focus on principles over politics. You will hear from citizens from our communities and leaders of respected liberty and freedom organizations about why they are concerned about the direction of America. But more importantly you will hear about how local action, constitutional principles, and state sovereignty (10th amendment movement) offer real solutions, and what we can all do to get involved.

Please visit the Ohio Liberty Council at http://www.ohiolibertycouncil.org/ for details and to get updated on this event.

Teresa, when did you get this info? I received an email from the tea party stating that it's on the 4th from 1pm to 3 pm in Goodale Park. Has something changed since then?

I'm not sure what is going on for the 4th in Columbus. There was supposed to be a Tea Party on the 4th, then I heard it was moved to the 3rd, but now I'm not even sure of that. Stay tuned.

Teresa, is the Statehouse rally sponsored by the Constitution party? I heard that somewhere and I'm just curious. The Columbus Tea Party hasn't announced its location yet. There's so many events going on! That's a good thing.
