Not a bad idea. Another idea we use on April 15th is handing out literature at the post office as people stop to drop off their tax returns. Only rarely do we see someone who opposes the FairTax.
Barbara may be able to help you with sources for literature.
If ever there was a time for the FairTax to become a Universal movement it is now. As long as there's MAJOR turnover in the House & Senate by 2012 it could pass. We should use the current disgust of the People to capitalize on this. Otherwise it's back to complacency.
I ordered a No IRS/Fair Tax bumper sticker and stuck it to magnets before putting it on my car ( I hate sticky bumper stickers) and we need MASS marketing literature to pass out. I actually saw a FairTax yard sign the other day!
This movement needs MASSIVE VISUALIZATION OVERLOAD to work & endorsing candidates, especially in the Primaries is essential. Not many movements like to do this but if we are to oust Business As Usual politicians and get a true people's advocate in office, we are going to have to nominate our own candidate and take that essential Power away from the 2 dominant parties.
HERE'S AN IDEA: On Tax Day we should have a CARAVAN of vehicles circle a city of choice on their Outerbelts and Downtown streets ~like a parade route or a Motorcade route! Think of all of the cars that could have FairTax Magnet Stickers ALL OVER THEM streaming through town!
I am attending the Glenn Beck "We Surround Them" Columbus meeting this Friday & the Tea Party protest downown this weekend. If anyone has literature, brochures, yard signs, rally signs &/or bumper stickers I will take them to both events. It's a great opportunity.
