Hi Kevin,
Can you join us on the second monday of the month (April 13th) at Crossroads Community Church at 7:00pm for a meeting? Some members come down from Dayton and you can meet them. Later a Butler County group could be started.
It's great you want to get more involved. Depending on what you want to do and where you live, there is a lot that can be done. If you live in a community, say around Trenton or Oxford, you could start having regular FairTax meetings at a library, restaurant, or civic center. Alternatively, you might want to get some literature and start handing it out a public events. Some starting places might include ball games, grocery stores (with permission), or county fairs and the like.

Others have found that talking to their regular service providers like doctors, dentists, hair dressers, etc. works pretty well. If you can get these folks involved, they talk to people every day. Also, if you can leave some literature in their offices, others will read it and start asking questions.

Another place to start is any clubs, social organizations, or even work place. Spreading the word about the FairTax is easy since most people like the idea once they understand it. You can also ask for permission to give a presentation on the FairTax to the group. If you want to do it, we have PowerPoints and videos to help, otherwise, we have several folks who feel comfortable working with groups to spread the FairTax word.

Of course, educating yourself on the benefits of the FairTax, and the common arguments opponents try to use against us is always a good idea, so the more you can read about it, the better. Along those lines, I've attached our State Strategy for getting the FairTax passed.

If any of these get you excited, then let me know and we can work to help support your efforts. If you don't want to start a regular meeting in your area, then I'd urge you to attend one of the ones already established. You can get lot's of ideas at the meetings, and hear about the successes others have had.

Good Luck
