Come and work with us at the gun show for a bit this weekend, Art. I would love to get to know you. The only time I will not be there is Saturday from 1:30-3:30. Hope to see you.

As an employer who has diligently kept umpteen numbers on record for income taxes only to be harassed by govt agencies and as a taxpayer who thinks it unfair that drug dealers, illegal immigrants, and other criminals should pay their share too, I have to support a consumption tax as "fair" for all. The current system penalizes me as a law-abiding employer, so if people are taxed on what they buy, everyone is taxed "fairly" and I don't have to support all of these govt groups who want to justify their jobs by harassing me or the criminals who use the roads and infrastructure I'm now paying for for them. I could pay my employees according to their output and they can give the govt what they want through purchases. Why doesn't this make sense?

Yes, Jim is my brother. I admit it. So glad to know you are a FT supporter. So is Amy Fleming and several others you know. You won't find a better, more enthusiastic, fun group to work with towards something good for Americans. We had a great meeting tonight with about 9 in attendance. I will look forward to getting to know you. Let me know if you would ever be interested in having a small group of friends/neighbors to your house one evening for a short education about the Fairtax and a chance to ask questions. Happy to do it. See ya!
