Comment by Laura McCue on May 6, 2009 at 7:05pm: Larry, I did make a mistake on the bill number and will correct it now. It should be S.R. 296 for the Senate and H.R. 25 for Congress. I got word of Richard Burr's decision to co-sponsor the day I posted the blog from our State Director John Pierce who received the notice from AFFT National Director, Ken Hoagland.

I checked the bill and he is not listed on it as a co-sponsor. Did he just do it and it hasn't gotten posted yet? I wasn't going to support him before, but I will now. And I'll call him to thank him. I just need to see that he has signed on. Hey, maybe the Republicans will wise up and realize this is their answer if they ever hope to regain any power. Thanks for the info Laura.
