Congressman Mike Pence's video

The video of Congressman Mike Pence should be removed because he misspoked on two topics, he said the prebate will be paid (quarterly) and that a family of 3 would not pay taxes on ($35,000). I don't have the figures for the prebate but that should be around $27,000. The rest of the video was good but we don't need be putting out bad info.

He also said it will take a huge grass roots movement to pass the bill, i.e. overwhelming citizen pressure. What about Congressmen actually being bold leaders themselves? Why doesn't he just do the right thing and CHAMPION the bill himself - with or without a huge grass roots movement? He and all our other "Dear Leaders". Why does it take millions of angry citizens before they do the right thing? Why didn't someone ask him that? Or ask him now?

> He is a Co-sponsor of the bill. So we can thank him for that. It is up to us or perhaps FairTax.org to brief him on the details of the FairTax. There has been discussion on this site of late about the need to educate candidates who support the FairTax so that they their facts correct. This will allow them to speak correctly about the bill and also lets them rebut critics, demagogues, and attack ads. Maybe a new FairTax fact card for candidates, or even a FairTax volunteer to help with appearances and to prepare responses to attack ads. This is our cause and when they support it as candidates or incumbents it's up to us to provide them with all the support we can.
