For everyone I just want to say that I feel very aggressive at this point. I am currently in a audit by the IRS !! I joined the fair tax in 2006 and my heart has always been in it. After what I've been through and the hardship this audit has cost my family I am no longer holding back! I just want everyone to know that in numbers we are strong and through Faith we will succeed. I know what my calling is. I seen it when I looked into the Auditors eyes and seen a person that thinks they are above the law, a entity that doesn't care who they hurt. We the people cannot lose faith in what our forefathers have given us. I will continue to fight for The Fair Tax and I will do my best to spread the word. People the time has come to take back this country. Don't Give UP!!!

How about working on the next election reps as well. Don't states alternate there elections every 2 years for reps? (I did not pay attention in school). The new ones would be nice to get them on the platform before going into office. We need to become candiate aware (including myself) and work on them.

As FairTax organization, it is illegal for us to anything to help or hurt a candidate. The Johnson Amendment of the tax code. You as a private citizen support any candidate you wish personally. Yes your Congressman is up for reelection in 2010. You may want to discuss the FairTax with him/her.

And THAT's why we need an organzation that IS allowed to overtly endorse and support candidates! FairTaxNation could become that organization!
Think of Sinn Fein and the Irish Republican Army back in the day.... one was the political wing, the other the military action arm. They didn't necessarily work together, but they clearly supported the same agenda through different methods.
Now, I am not suggesting that we become militant (well, at least not YET we don't), but I think it's wise for us to have 2 separate organizations for just this reason.

We should start a campaign to send each of these Democrats a nice note thanking them for their good deed in opposing the bill. We should ask each of them to support the FairTax, or better co-sponsor it. It took some looking but I found all of their names, and Congressional districts. These are the Representatives Their support/ oppose info. is from the FairTax.org site.

It would be great if we picked up 1 or 2 co-sponsors from this. It might even get press if attached to an event. The best thing would be to get several as a group in protest of the pork filled bill they opposed.

I maybe off the mark on my line of reasoning but I can't help think many people who are members of Fair Tax Nation are also American For Fair Taxation volunteers. AFFT does not endorse any particular candidate or party so as to maintain its non profit status. If Fair Tax Nation were to endorse candidates wouldn't this blur the lines between the two organizations since many are a member of both and therefore put at risk AFFT's non profit status?

No. For example, you can be a member of the Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian party and also be a member of your church and not endanger the tax exempt status of your church.
