Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

Can we please keep this to the FairTax?

First, I'm not a Democrat. I'm not a Republican. I lean Libertarian, but consider myself Independent. If we are going to succeed as a movement, we absolutely MUST appeal to people on all sides of the political spectrum, not just conservatives. The FairTax stands to benefit the poor more than anybody else and we really need to emphasize that point to our less conservative brothers and sisters because I believe that's where our strongest argument is with them.

But, I have to say that all the right-wing/conservative material that has been proliferating on this site lately that has absolutely nothing to do with the FairTax is really turning me off to this site. I joined this site because I wanted to be kept informed about activities and discussions to foster greater support of the FairTax. But, I'm afraid that a lot of the material that has been posted here is likely having the exact opposite effect of turning off people who might have been sitting on the fence about the FairTax. I can only imagine that if it's turning me off, it must be turning them off.

Can we please keep discussions on this site restricted to well-reasoned discussions of the FairTax and how it will help to cure our country's ills? There are plenty of other forums in the blogosphere for everything else.

Your are right on what you say. There should be something on here at he time of signing up. Thats states that issue. We cant fracture from within but stand as one for America. You wrote it well Mary. Thanks.

Mary, we're sure glad you're a part of FairTax Nation. We value the friendship of all of our members.

The reason you're seeing conservative postings is because we value First Amendment Free Speech in the U.S. Constitution.

We also have Tea Parties springing up all over America because our country is being taken over by radical liberals who are trying to indoctrinate our children with their dangerous propaganda that is anti-American and anti-family.

That's why people are speaking up to preserve our Freedoms. I realize this is not the Coast-2-Coast website where those types of sentiments are encouraged, but people are going to express their concerns and excitement from the bottom of their hearts about the direction our country is headed.

America has never been politically correct until the last couple decades. We've always encouraged Free Speech as long as it is respectful. Websites that heavily ban discussions also turn people off.

I'm a legal secretary who is a member of Toastmasters International and I have to debate lawyers, judges and people from all walks of life such as realtors, school principals, etc.

Our country was founded by deeply religious people who quoted the Scriptures all the time, and who would have thought it was strange if they didn't hear that kind of language! I realize our country has changed greatly since then, since God and prayer were kicked out of school in the 1960s, but I would encourage a little more tolerance of good people trying to protect our children's future, the economy, and our American freedoms.

We'll try to stay on topic, and we'd love to answer any questions you have about the FairTax or point you in the right direction. There's a lot of information available about the FairTax, and we're really excited about it! The FairTax really could turn the U.S. economy around, and more and more U.S. representatives and a few Senators are signing on to the FairTax bill every day.

I agree Mary. This site is a tool for Fair Taxers to use to develop ideas of better promoting ideas to bring Fair Tax to fore front of all issues. There are times that fair tax and other events complement each other such as the Tea Parties going on right now all over the country and I feel that Fair Taxers need to know about these events. But this is not the place to promote other issues such as right to life, ect. Use this site and get involved with the live chat with others to share these tools. The fair tax post cards to congress idea is a prime example of good ideas floating around in here and is being picked up by a few groups in here and being put to work. This is an idea that needs to go nation wide to be effective. You can find the cards under the central Florida group forum and edit them to use in your area. Please take advantage of ideas like this and put them to work in your district.
