Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

Yesterday a young lady from Texas called into the Sean Hannity show and asked him about the Fair Tax. I was shocked by his initial answer to the question. He said that he is all for the Fair Tax and gave kudos to Bortz and Linder for all of the work they have done.

This is the first time I have heard him come out in support of the plan. I don't listen all of the time so he may have commented on it in the past.

Of course, he followed it up by stating that he didn't think it was politically possible. But hey its a start.

I think it shows that the tide is shifting and our efforts are beginning to pay off. If we all keep up the work, we may be able to make this a topic of discussion in many different areans.

He has been a supporter. Just not very openly....
Actually, Hannity has been very active and attended some of the Boortz FairTax rallys. He hasn't necessarily brought it up much on his TV show.
He will be in Atlanta for the April 15th Tea party
Is the Atlanta thing a FaiTax event or another republican "just say NO" to spending event?
At this time, all I know is that it is supposed to be a Tea Party. I'll have to check the TP website for an official "name". I did hear Hannity mention it on his show yesterday and he called it a TP.
Update - The Tea Party in Atlanta will be one of hundreds accross the country on the 15th. Part of the TaxDayTeaParty day of events (TaxDayTeaParty.com - check out the "Ultimate Tea Party map - link on the right side under "latest news").

Sean Hannity will be broadcasting live at Atlana and Neil Cavuto will broadcast live from Sacramento. In addition, Newt Gingrich will be at the New York rally. Sean said on his show today that he will provide details about Atlanta during his show on Monday.

Ladies and gentlemen, what we have here is the "perfect storm".
Neal Boortz won't be at the Atlanta tea party. He gave a really good explanation on his show on Wednesday when he talked to one of the tea party organizers.

His explanation was that the tea parties don't give any solutions to the problem. The fair tax does, and so he'll be in Columbia, SC for the Fair Tax rally. Neal's description of the tea party is a bunch of people getting together and throwing a tantrum. Lower our taxes and reduce spending.

I believe Neal's right on the mark. Fair tax = solutions.
Well, Boortz has been commited to the SC rally for quite some time - he would still go there even if he was behind the tea parties 100%

By the way, Neal has recently changed his tune about the TP's - he came to realize that it is yet another way for the American people to voice their displeasure with the way things are going in DC. But he is right, Fair Tax = solutions.
Chat is messed up again!
I think AFFT should stop holding these super-large FairTax Rallys. All they do is preach to the choir. The people that go don't go to learn about the FairTax. Instead, they should be encouraging everyone to go to these teaparties, where hundreds of thousands of people who are fed up with taxes will be gathering. We should be taking our message, holding up signs, passing out literature, and recruiting people at these events. I really don't think these rally's are going to help, because they won't be covered by the media, but these teaparties are more likely to get covered by local media.
I agree with Joshua. My blog conveyed the following:

There has been much discussion among the Fairtaxers whether or not to join the Tea Parties on April 15th. What better place to express our freedoms and make the FairTax known to the entire nation?

Freedom and Fairtax go together. Get out there and tell the world there is a better way. Wear your Fairtax shirts, hats, pins and hand out your information. Educate these people and the media that we have the solution to our economic woes.
> I agree that the AFFT rallies may not be as effective as these tea parties when it comes to reaching new people, but sooner or later the media has to see that we are a formidable group. These tea parties are the way to show people who would get active in the process our plan. They are a tremendous opportunity. I'll be in Dallas on the 15th and I here there are several planned in the area. I'll be getting tri-folds ready to hand out.
