One is The Fair Tax. The other is a VAT. It may help to post a comment explaining why The Fair Tax is preferable to a VAT.

> The Richmans are great supporters of the FairTax. They have written a very informative book about the economic problems facing the U.S. It is called "Trading Away Our Future" and is a must read for FairTaxers.
As I finished the article, I checked out the book you refer to. I was wondering if it was good and from the reviews I read, it does, indeed, look like something I need to read.
I will be reviewing this article and weighing in with my 2 cents worth.

Frankly, I don't understand at all how anyone could equate the value of the Fair Tax with VAT. A VAT is regressive and imposes taxes everywhere it can; smacks to much of income and withholding taxes. They just add and sneak more in here and there.
