While this is certainly an interesting and important issue, I fail to see a direct connection to the FairTax. Sure, they're being funded with taxpayer dollars, but that may continue even after the FairTax is in place.

I believe this topic would be better placed in your blog.

Thank you.
> I'll connect it with this. Rep. Bachmann seems to have views that reflect those of most of us. It would be great to get her on board as a Co-Sponsor. We need to reach FairTaxers in her district and have them contact her. Anyone here from MN-6?
Ok, you've made a good point Cary, and I have to agree that it would be great to have Rep. Bachmann on board as a cosponsor. I also believe, based on the video, she seems to have views that reflect those of most of us.

However, I think I would like to see a forum discussion about her views on the FairTax and why she has not cosponsored the FairTax rather than ACORN.

In other words, show me a video where she is interviewed about the FairTax.
There needs to be a push from her constituents to get her on board. As far as the Rangle comments and that situation, I laugh because he has failed to pay taxes and there has been no penalties that I have heard of to date. And yet he is against the Fair Tax which going forward would eliminate the IRS, and the need to file your taxes.
While most of what she spoke of was just day to day spending and deal making in DC, the Rangle topic was the only thing that even relates to the Fair Tax and that is only because he chairs the Ways and Means committee that is holding up HR25.
A humorous thought - Rangle fails to support the very thing that just might save his sorry but ...

Kind of makes you wonder about his intelligence doesn't it?
I agree with Sean,
the spending of our tax dollars is a political struggle that will always be there. I have plenty of reason to dis-agree with what they do with MY money but......I WILL always put my emphasis on passing the Fair Tax which is not how they spend but how they collect taxes.

even though we should always push all our Representatives to co-sponsor and support HR25, we need to not get caught up in the spending of tax dollars.
Hello everyone,

I've copied this to another website more appropriate for this topic.

http://www.teapartynation.com/forum/topics/bachmann-acorn-will-not-be

FTN site is non partisan and should stay on topic.

Thanks,

Jim Tomasik,
Admin.
