There are several dozen End The Fed Rallies being planned around the country. If I find out that one will be in Trenton, I will post the information here. I will attempt to attend the one in Trenton if someone else puts it together. This would also be a good place to recruit Fair Tax Support.

Are we going to do anything in trenton for april 15th?? There are other such rallies going on in other states, and basically, the more the better....

This message is from Tom Freeman DD NJ-8

Jim Bennett, NJ State Director, sent me 250+ pages of excellent reference materials which I gave to Congressman Pascrell's Economic Policy Advisor after I breifed her on the FairTax. These documents are excellent. I have scanned them and attached the file to the forum entitled "Reference Materials" on this website. I would suggest people add other files so we can have a place to go and get materials

Thanks, Tom, for taking the time and incurring the expense to go to Washington to brief the staff of such a key member of Congress. I shall do my part and send a fax to Bill Pascarell and encourage others to do the same. The congressman's contact information in Washington is:
FAX 202-225-5782
Hon. William Pascrell, Jr.
2464 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington DC 20515

Today I met with Congressman Pascrell's (D-NJ8) Economic Policy Advisor. I outlined the FairTax, of which she had a passing knowledge. I also left a significant book of reference materials that Jim Bennett was kind enough to provide me. As is our custom, I will not elaborate on the meeting. I will continue to follow-up with the goal of getting her to put the information in front of Congressman Pascrell. FYI - The Congressman is also a member of the House Ways and Means Committee. To the extent any of you could fax and mail him a letter in that capacity, I would appreciate it.

Here is a link for contact info... a basic message for congress can be found here
http://www.fairtax.org/site/PageServer?pagename=grassroots_support_congress

It can be used as a template, sometimes they appreciate the personal letters, but keep the structure professional. When one has to go through so many papers a day, it helps if they are nice to look at lol....

I just recieved this message from Jim Tomasik which went out to all the members of the Fair Tax Leadership on FairTax Nation! Please read. I think this is amazing and may see history in the making. We need to hit our congressmen relentlessly with emails, etc

Rep. King has stated that he will call a 'special order' to discuss the FairTax on the floor of the House of Rep. Rep. Linder has been made aware of all of this. We need some more Congressmen to step up to the plate and speak up for FairTax at the same time.

We will be notified in advance of the date this will be aired live on CSPAN. It is important that we gear up for this by using every means we have to contact all FairTax supporters, elected officials, and both the local and national media. This is what we have been wanting to see happen in congress. Stay tuned to FairTaxNation for further details.

Bravo as well to those who are fighting "the system" from within. From what I understand of US history, it didn't always be a war (so to speak) between parties. But, we are also working on a larger scale. Taxation issues themselves are essentially non-partisan, but without public awareness the legislature will keep on the road they are traveling. There is no immediate solution, but at least we have a way to affect some change even if it takes years to accomplish.

Sam,

I like the Libertarian platform on taxation that you listed. The Constitutionalists also have an excellent platform on this issue. Bravo to everyone who attends these meanings because they are helping to keep these ideas alive. I might attend their next State and National conventions, whenever they might occur.

The problem is that it is not politically possible for the legislature to support these "radical" ideas. It starts with the electorate - they only select brand names (Republicans or Democrats). And, as you implied, the puppets who are installed by the brand managers do not support freedom and liberty.

A this time, my "solution" (if one exists) is to join with the major brands that the electorate supports. However, I make it clear to everyone that I will not play ball and cannot support their tyrannical nonsense. I think that we are starting to see some minor successes by using this approach.

For example, I just wrote a letter to the Lonegan campaign expressing my disappointment with his position on taxes, especially since he identifies himself as a "Ron Paul Libertarian". I pointed out that his ideas are not Libertarian and they do not agree with Ron Paul. And I told him that he does not "get it".

This might not seem to be effective, but he has been trying get the support of some of the heavy boots that knocked down doors in the last election. By putting him on notice that this assistance will not be automatic, he might have second thoughts on his mainstream positions.
