Romney has opposed the FairTax since his FIRST run...moving on! Gingrich & maybe Santorum are a bit more willing to give an EAR to We the People! Paul GETS the 0% tax, but isn't a FairTax supporter either. If only Herman Cain would NOT have…

I will be happy to tell Romney to support the FairTax if I have the opportunity - again. I told him that over four years ago at the Varsity Restaurant in Atlanta. His quick reply, "It's not practical". Mike

Fair Tax can Help Romney Recover

Many of the attacks on Romney by the DNC (and some of his Republican opponents) are centered on the 15% capital gains tax rate that he has been paying. What a crime - all those poor working people who must earn salaries. They are paying a higher rate than Romney! It is not Romney's fault that the capital gains rate is different than the middle class income rate. The reality is that the tax rates are so illogical that it would be impossible to adjust them in a way that everyone can see everyone…See More

As THE FairTax candidate, I'd really like to support Gary, but he has some liberal points of view that I find hard to stomach. I think I'd have felt better if he had said that certain issues should be left to the states. Though even then,…

Gary Johnson - The Only Fair Tax Presidential Candidate Who Will Probably Run in The General Election

None of the 2012 Democratic or Republican Primary candidates are supporting the Fair Tax.   Here is a clip of Ex-Governor Gary Johnson saying that he will run for the Libertarian nomination.  And Fair Tax will be a major part of his campaign. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag-V2vzxiokSee More

As Dan Hunt just wrote, it is very difficult to understand why Fair Taxers would be willing to substitute an unproven, untested theory in place of the well studied Fair Tax. Cain has yet to release a detailed written version of his proposal. So…

Frank We are already are at The FairTax with its 74 cosponsors and hearing before the House, Ways and Means Committee. We don't need Cain's hybrid tax plan to bolster the FairTax. If anything, Cain needs The Fair Tax to bolster his scam…

Gene, I have to admit I don't like the 999 plan, but it does get us part way to the FairTax. My concern is that legislators will be happy with it and just forget about the FairTax. Also, it ends up being a 27% tax on Americans vs. the 23%…

Stay away from me unless you pass my litmus test

One of the major problems with idealists is that they either get everything or they nothing. For example, an idealist might refuse to support a candidate or special interest group unless there is a component in their activity that supports cutting a Government budget by 90%. When he does not get everything that he wants, he ignores all political support of potentially useful ideas. The problem with this approach is that much needed idealists become impotent because their idealism never leads to… Continue
