No, I do not think there is any reason other than that the bill has to reintroduced and therefore may get a new number. While the house bill number has remained the same for as long as I have been involved, the senate bill seems to get a new number each time. I hope that the larger number does not mean it is moved down the list of importance!

So do you ascribe any meaning to the # change on the Senate bill? Or any possible motivation for doing so?

has anyone else noticed that in the 111th congress, the senate version of the bill is now S-296 instead of S-1025? The House is still using HR 25 though
