I drive to work everyday and I don't see you. I am at work everyday and I don't see you. I go to my kid’s baseball game and I don't see you. I go to the grocery, Wal-Mart, and to the Mall and I don't see you. Everywhere I travel I don't see you!!!

Here is my proposal...See the attached Word document (on the discussion board under "Where are all the FairTax Supporters?". Take this symbol and use a window marker or get a sticker made and place this on your driver and passenger side rear window. I can see you now!! Additionally, others who do not know about the FairTax will see you. As thousands and millions of these symbols hit the vehicles of the road, the elected officials and media will see you!!!

Let's take the energy from the TEA Parties and come out of the closet and let's see one another, nod our heads at one another as we drive by, and let everyone know where we stand. Liberty, Freedom, and the FairTax!!!!!!

I was really impressed with the number of Fair tax supports who got TV time in the coverage of the tea parties last night. From a marketing stand point, a multi front attack is what is needed. We need some of our forces focused on getting co-sponsors and the others raising awareness.

For example, Mike Conaway is my rep in District 11 and he is already a co-sponsor. So, other than words of encouragement to him, I'm done. However, by attending events I can spread the word. If I find a person living in a district where their rep is sitting on the fence, I can get them to work on their rep. Further, if that person watched the coverage last night and sees the support and backing we have then they are more apt to get to work on their local rep.

I say do it all. Tea Parties, Rattlesnake Round-ups, letter writing and expressing random thoughts on this board.

Hi Marv! You are absolutely correct! I think what you're hearing from people on FTN is not that we shouldn't focus on getting the co-sponsors, but that it takes grassroots in-their-face action to get fence-sitters (like our friend Gene Green) to become co-sponsors. Hopefully TX-29 will become a hotbed of activity and we will be able to put enough pressure on him.

It has been said that the FairTax will pass if we have co-sponsors on the bill.

Texas spends a lot of effort getting co-sponsors. Over 1/3 of the 32 congressmen/women in the Texas delegation are co-sponsors.
If other states had 1/3 of their congressmen/women as co-sponsors the FairTax could be brought to a vote.

Maybe more effort should be redirected to everyone getting 1/3 of the congressmen as co-sponsors instead of tea parties.

Peter, FYI, I might be able to help with graphic design. I have also done a lot of web site design. Although I probably don't have the time to do a major site design right now, I might be able to help. I did all of the site and graphic design on the ActionAmerica.org site. I also did all the JavaScript in our Tax Freedom Day Clock and our Democrat Approved Electronic Palm Beach Ballots. I prefer to avoid plugins, when possible, so as to be compatible with the largest number of browsers and instead, make extensive use of CSS and server-side includes. Oops! In my previous post, I said that the web sticker was 140x24. When you look at the sticker, that is obviously wrong. I dropped a "1". It is actually 140x124 pixels.

Anyway, we need to paste this sticker, or something like it, all over the net - especially on sites related to Texas or taxes or taxes in Texas or... Well, you get the picture.

As a start, it now appears in the left column of all pages on ActionAmerica.org.

I don't want to bemoan the subject, without doing something to help, so here goes. I routinely receive more feedback forms from our ActionAmerica.org webzine in a week than the total number of posts to this TX group. Therefore, I took the liberty of creating a 140x24 pixel web-sticker for FairTax Nation, to place on our site, to direct our visitors to the FairTax Nation "Groups" page. If anyone wants to use the sticker, here it is.

Pam, Brett...ANYONE reading this - if you know someone who is able to build a phenomenal website...or do great graphics work....or contribute some other skill or expertise...(etc...) then PLEASE get them involved! As Jim said - the only people we have is US.

You may also think about dumping this list of contacts. Elect yourselves a Texas FairTaxNation group admin and start building a new group of leaders in Texas.

Whatever it takes... get this ball rolling...
