Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

You can host one too!! THIS Sunday will be my FIRST FairTax Open house. I am excited and nervous, but hope it is a resounding success!! I will let you know how it went and then how YOU TOO can do one...BIGGER or SMALLER or somewhere in between, but I do believe that if FairTax OPEN HOUSES start popping up all over the STATE/COUNTRY that too will peak people's interest!

Good Luck Jamie, I know it will be a resounding success cause of you. Best of Luck Michael
waiting to hear the results, I'm sure it will go well!
I'm doing one on April 10. I will try to take some video to post on YouTube. I'm not sure I'm saavy enough to pull it off, but I'm going to try.
Thanks for all your words of encouragement, but it was pretty much a "dud". Although I just had one of our neighbors come by. He started drawing a paycheck back in '49 and doesn't have a computer or a dvd player. So in that I met on of our neighbors I haven't met before the Open House wasn't a complete flop. I also look at it that there are now 65 people who have my invitation that I will give a follow-up call to in the next couple of weeks.

One never knows if something will be a success unless it is tried and upon trying it making needed adjustments. Overall I think this concept is one that is VERY hard to wrap ones mind around because we are sooooooooo indocrtinated with the current system in which we live. Unfortunately!!!!!

SO...stay tuned to how this concept moves forward. Gooooo FairTax!!
Jamie,
Rome wasn't built in a day. FAIR TAX supporters must keep trying. Your right. Most Americans are too ignorant of what the imperial federal government is doing via the current tax code.

Jamie, we have our regular meetings at a Panera Bread Co. Even if turnout is low, we almost always pick up some customers who just happen to be in the restaurant. Meeting in public has some benefits.

We also meet people who ask about a FairTax pin or button. Mike's bike is a great recruitment tool. We met someone at a gas station who came to the next meeting and took FairTax materials to distribute at gun shows where he has a table.

If you need supplies, visit We have a small supply store that may be helpful. If you decide to form a chapter, we want to outfit you. Right now we're selling a little below cost and you can order in small quantities. We hope access to supplies will make things a little easier for groups just gaining momentum.

I hope to meet you next year when we're planning our 2010 ride. By then I believe Americans will be demanding the FairTax in big numbers. It's the only real stimulus bill!
We had our FairTax "open house" last night, and it was very well received. All of the people had never heard of the FairTax before I told them about it. They all seemed very interested, and shared their ideas. One interesting point someone brought up that I hadn't though of was how to sell this to retirees. This is a huge windfall for all of the people with IRAs and 401Ks. Strangely, this fact never occurred to me???!! Retirees vote (and thus have power), and should be 100% on board with the idea once they understand that prices will not automatically increase 23%.

Another suggestion they had was to employ the "KISS" strategy (Keep It Simple Stupid). I tend to get into the details, and that loses people. I'm sure many of you all know all this, but it's still a good point to keep in mind.

Several of them got so worked up, they made me create a Facebook page, and started showing me how to promote the FairTax on Facebook.

This was a great way to get the word out to people. So I encourage everyone to invite several of your friends over for dinner, and engage in the "faux pas" of political discussion.
