This is fantastic! I just called the Senate # below & emailed Chairman Rangle (Congressman) and am going to blitz these committee members until the staff recognises my voice.
I phoned this committee and asked why there hasn't been any movement on the Fair Tax plan. Naturally I was given the common reasons critics contrive. Fortunately, I was ready for them. The staffer was polite and caught on immediately that I was pretty well informed.
I think what bothered me most was being informed that I was the first to call in about this issue. Please call in, FairTaxers. The staffer thought that there was little interest in Fair Tax among the people. These committees need to hear from us and hear from us often, they've got to know we're here.

I sent a letter to the House Ways and Means Chair, Charles Rangel, and I enclosed the letter that he and Pelosi, Hoyer, and a few others had signed, that was sent to Pres. Bush back in 2004 or '05. In light of the committment to certain principles outilined in that letter with regard to simplifying the tax code, I urged him to move in support of the Fair Tax. I requested a response and if I get one, I'll post it here. If I don't get one, he'll be hearing from me again, this time in an open letter to the committee.
I contacted the House Ways and Means Committee yesterday and inquired as to the status of HR 25. The staffer informed that it would probably be around August before they got to it; they're currently struggling with health care and cap and trade.
This committee needs to hear from all of us and they need to hear often, just as our senators and reps do.
If you want a complete and accurate list of Ways and Means members, I have attached an excel spreadsheet to the "House Ways and Means Committee" forum on this web site.
thanks. but somehow could we compare the list? I don't know how to add stuff to the pages, only these boxes. Oh, I see "full membership" now. Okay. I'll try to get my other buddy DShipp on this too.
Here is the link to the general site. I have signed up for the newsletter to try and catch things sooner than later since the media isn't telling us much.
