Jabari, I have grown tired of the "progressive" discussion over on Yahoo groups and also get tired of the labels. I don't consider Progressives and Conservatives to be entirely mutually exclusive as I consider myself conservative but…
I just deleted a couple comments that were not what this site is intended to be used to promote.
I think we have spent enough time on this. If FTN is not the place for a few of you, all I can say is I'm sorry about that but this particular…
I guess I'll add my 2 cents. What Jabari says is correct, I think. The FairTax can't pass without support from both major parties. He is also correct in saying that the FairTax is generally considered a conservative Republican idea. How…
I don't know how you gleaned that from my post. On the contrary. My Congressman, John Larson, opposes the Fair Tax and disagrees with me on most if not all the issues precisely because he is a socialist. As I stated prior those who oppose The…
Thanks Jim,
Let me add, I appreciate Jabari's position. It is common when presenting to any group fo them to ask what the leaders of their parties or their own Representatives/Senators think of the bill. One thing I do when doing a…
Jabari, I have grown tired of the "progressive" discussion over on Yahoo groups and also get tired of the labels. I don't consider Progressives and Conservatives to be entirely mutually exclusive as I consider myself conservative but have progressive ideas not the least of which is the FairTax. But I do need some help talking with some friends of mine. I have pointed out many things about the FairTax to some friends who would be considered pretty liberal in thinking to most people but to no avail. Are there any approaches you would suggest help break through that barrier or do you think these are people just set in their ways ? I get pretty frustrated citing evidence and facts and being told your facts are lies. Some are affiliated with the local Democratic party and claim my sources are right wing and just won't listen. I myself had been apolitical/independant most of my life. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.
Jabari, Thanks for joining the FTN Twitter group. ALthough you did not leave your twitter info, I tried your internet handle and found your twitter at http://twitter.com/jzakiya, so I posted you link to our FTN Twitter Roster. Please go and follow @fairtaxnation, FTN is already following you :) When you follow a twitter, all their posts get streamed with yours. Thanks, Dr. Bill @arra

Have you seen my forum or blog on this site re: "House Ways and Means Committe"?
Thanks, I will begin e-mailing supporters in the 2 districts I am working with and sending them links to Ron Kind and Dave Obey. I have tried to emphasize to our local members that they need to begin e-mailing them on a regular basis. But that they need to switch up their emphasis on different problems that it would address. I'll also send along the switchboard numbers.

Jabari, Thanks for keeping things in perspective. I am a volunteer in Wisconsin Dist-3. This is Congressman Ron Kind's dist. who is on the W&M committee. How did you go about contacting the individual Tax LA's? Do you have contact info for his Tax LA? I will get right to work engaging his Tax LA. Are they based in DC, do they have someone back in their districts?

Great interaction both with email and in personal contact with the reps tax man. Keep up the good. This site lets us know these things and encourage us to do similar. Thanks Jarbari.
Thanks for you time and effort to support the fairtax. Have you joined HermanCain.com "HITM"? He is trying to get everyone to unite in an effort to let congress know what the people want. Keep up the good work.
