Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

I am wondering if the time is ripe for us to organize a rally here in Ohio. Naturally it would be months out due to preparations. It might give us a good idea of how many of us there actually are here in the Buckeye state, not to mention vastly increasing public awareness. What say you all?

That is something I've wondered about also but I also wonder if the rally's are just preaching to the choir. Aren't we really doing more good attending tea parties and 9/12 events?

Dave
Rally's are good when they serve a specific purpose. The one in MO is breaking "new ground" by moving West. I'm inclined to agree with Dave that our working with the Tea Parties et. al. is a good use of resources for the time being. Once we start collecting regular donations, then putting together a rally might be a good idea.
Is there anying on the agenda for an ohio fair tax rally? It may be a chance for us to invite both Strickland, Kasseck and those running for U.S. Senate in 2010.
I appreciate your input, Dave and Steve. Just hearing the talk around the Kasich event last night just got me to wondering. There seem to be so many Fair Tax folks out there that aren't here!

What about the Ohio State Fair, can we do something there that would further our cause?
I think that is a good idea. It would give us more momentum when we ask those running for governor and the u.s. congress if they will support the fair tax.
Rallies and tea parties do good.
1.) Media attention=free advertising
2.) Encouragement and education on issues
3.) Going to the tea parties gives us a chance to bring other people who are frustrated with the tax code to our cause.
4.) We gain connections with people who can help sread the word such as graphic design artists, accountants etc..
5.) Tea parties and rally's refute the argument that the fair tax is regressive, because it's greatest support comes from those below the pverty level.
Hi Nancy and all. I agree with Dave. I think our attending Tea Parties and any other group function gives us more new people to educate. Now if we could get Boortz to the Dayton area with WHIO we could really have a RALLY. I would think that would have to be coordinated by WHIO.
The State Fair would be a wonderful place for FairTax to be seen. But the cost? Manning the booth? The State Fair runs 10 days or more and that is a lot of commitment. Maybe we could share a booth with someone?
