Well, CS - I like Herman and I love the FairTax. There's a lot of action on Facebook of course (https://www.facebook.com/groups/FTgrassroots/), but the membership there is spread all over the place, and it's mostly about staying informed as to what's happening nationwide with FairTax. I'm disappointed that nothing seems to be happening in TN except in Jim Tomasik's Memphis area. I don't even get return calls from James Baird or John Garner. But I don't need them. I'll stir the pot myself. Sure would be nice to get a little help.

Didn't even realize I was a member of this site until I got your comment, William.  Sure more activity on this site would be good, but I doubt this is where most of the action is taking place.  How 'bout Fair Tax Herman Cain.  Pretty impressive.

It appears that TennesseeFairTax is dying on the vine. Newest activity in November, 2010 and the latest comment post in July 2009. WTH? I'm in Chattanooga, and my goal is to do something every day to support and advance the FairTax. What's your goal? Contact me if you'd like to make something happen in or around Chattanooga!

Well Bob Corker "United States Senator" finally replyed to one of my e-mails on the fair tax. Here is his reply.Dear Mr. Roberts,

Thank you for taking the time to contact my office to share your thoughts about S.296, the Fair Tax Act of 2009. Your input is important to me, and I appreciate the time you took to share your thoughts.

I like the ideas put forth in the Fair Tax proposal, and I look forward to reviewing it more carefully. I am especially interested in how a transition would occur between our present tax system and that of the Fair Tax. To that end, I appreciate the information and resources you have given me in your letter. Currently, S.296 is under review in the Senate Finance Committee. Should the bill come before the full Senate, the insight you have provided will certainly help my staff and me more affectively look into this issue.

Thank you again for your letter. I hope you will continue to share your thoughts with me as I serve you in the United State

The rest follows. The National Academy of Sciences of the United States - as well as the National Academies of Japan, Germany, China, and other nations - has concluded that human activity is having a significant impact on global temperature increases. While I believe it is appropriate for Congress to take reasonable steps to reduce U.S. emissions of greenhouse gases, I'm very reluctant to impose any sort of cap-and-trade, even on power plants, this year in the middle of a big recession. Now is not the time to put a national sales tax on every electric bill and every gasoline purchase.

As a member of the Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works, I'll be deeply involved in this debate and will be sure to keep your comments in mind as climate change is discussed in Washington and in Tennessee.

I finally got a response from Lamar on the Fair Tax. See if anyone elsefind it as amuzinf as I.Dear Leighton,

Thanks very much for getting in touch with me and letting me know what's on your mind regarding climate change.

Every two-year Congress since I was elected to the Senate, I have sponsored clean air and climate change legislation that would place caps on carbon emissions from power plants - but not caps on fuel used for transportation, because that would drive up the price of gasoline. In 2007, Congress passed into law an energy bill that included an amendment I cosponsored that raised fuel economy standards for the first time in 30 years, to an average of 35 miles per gallon by 2020. Telling automakers in this country that they have to make cleaner cars and trucks that use less fuel is the single best way our nation can start curbing our dependence on foreign oil and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

All Tennesseeans, you need to visit the FairTax.org Facebook page. Someone there posted a response from Sen. Alexander about the "FairTax". This needs to be seen by everyone from Tennessee who supports the FairTax. There is also a response from Sen. Corker on down the page, please check these responses.

New podcast is now live, my interview with my guests were Kellen Giuda, nationwide grassroots organizer who just launched www.parcbench.com and Steve, the CEO of www.freedomsfirst.org. Kellen organized the February 28th NYC Tea Party (the one I spoke at) which got a tremendous turnout on such short notice and is organizing another large one for April 15. Kellen.

I will be doing a live radio show on Tuesday April 7th at 6 pm with the Direct of Freedomworks.org – a site I just officially partnered with on blogtalkradio.com/takebackAmerica

In addition, I just partnered with the F.I.R.E. Coalition – firecoalition.com and freedomworks.org

My website is up as well www.takebackAmerica.webs.com
