IRS defining insanity. Kill it with the FairTax.

I.R.S. CREATES TAXPAYER CONFUSION ON DUE DATES Form TD F 90-22.1 REPORT OF FOREIGN BANK AND FINANICAL ACCOUNTS (“FBAR”) This I.R.S. assumes taxpayers and tax advisors have a duty to search for complex revised FAQs hidden deep in their website and digest the information, advise our clients and take action within a week before a filing deadline…all under the threat of large penalties. In addition, clients misinterpret the rules – easy to do -- and now… Continue

NONPARTISANSHIP - For Jessica Wexler

BRAVO, Jessica! You could have been reading from my mind about the frustrations of dealing with those who would rather talk about their dislike of the current administration than about our mission to make the Fair Tax the law of the land. I can't tell you how many times I've also wondered what I was doing among them but comforted myself with the fact that once we have the Fair Tax in place it'll matter much less who is president.

I would very much like to "talk" to you in a venue… Continue

Employment Stimulas

Employment Stimulus

Stop Taxing American Labor

Why penalize employers for having workers? All the income and social security taxes an employee pays on wages comes from the employer. The employer must also pay his share of the worker’s Social Security. Then there are unemployment taxes and workman’s compensation taxes because he employs workers. At least two thirds of our nation’s income is derived from taxes on American Labor.

How does the employer come up with enough… Continue

Open Letter to Long Beach Rep and Californa Senators - No to Cap and Trade...

Dear Representative Rohrabacher and Senators Feinstein and Boxer,

I received a notification by Mark Levin that Cap and Trade is front-and-center in congress right now.

I am writing to urge you to vote NO on the so-called cap and trade.

Cap and trade will be a huge burden to our economy in a time when our economy is very fragile and, according to many experts, it will NOT have a significant impact on naturally… Continue

My Speech at the Mid America Fair Tax Rally

Hello, I am Jessica Wexler. I am a strong supporter of the FairTax. I have volunteered with FairTax KC for the past year and written an organizing manual to be used by Fair tax supporters across the country. So there is no confusion, I am a Democrat. I have worked 20 hour days, 7 days a week, for months at a time. I have slept on office floors with blankets pulled from the trunk of volunteers' cars. During Senator McCaskill's campaign, I learned the benefit of a union hall with showers, even if… Continue

Scorching letter to Senator Sherrod Brown

Dear Senator,

I have sent the following link to an article written by economist professor Lawrence Kotlikoff of Boston University. It is my hope that you will read this document and research it thoroughly before you accept FactCheck.org's information as the end all be all on the issue of the Fair Tax Plan, HR 25 / S 296. I would expect nothing less than a thoughtful and meaningful analysis of the Fair Tax on your end and the FactCheck information is woefully… Continue

I'm Mad As Hell and I'm Not Going To Take It Anymore!

That line is from the Movie Network and it exemplifies my feelings to a tee. I am especially mad as hell with Florida Governor Crist for his support and signing of a bill increasing taxes across the board on motor vehicle licenses, tags, registrations and more. What is wrong with you Governor? Have you lost your mind. People are out of work, struggling to make ends meet and you go ahead and sign a bill increasing taxes. We thought you were a Conservative, I guess we are all wrong. That must be… Continue

The Folly of the National Sales Tax (VAT)- Fair Tax supporters NEED to understand and seperate themselves

Mises Daily by Eric M. Staib | Posted on 6/17/2009 12:00:00 AM

Facing a historic national debt that President Obama correctly characterized as "unsustainable," yet still desiring to implement some sort of national health-care package, US policymakers, notably Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad and former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker, have recently hinted at the possibility of a national sales tax. More specifically, they hint at possible implementation of a national… Continue

State version of the FairTax (www.fairtax.org) would make CA a business tax haven state which would attract business, jobs, prosperity, and tax revenues back to CA.

Dear Assemblyman Logue.

I just read the article in the Wall Street Journal “Schwarzenegger Gets Radical – Terminating the California Income Tax” that identifies you as the head of a task force on taxes in our great state. Thank you for heading this up!

According to the article, the situation calls for massive tax reform with bold proposals to be considered.

A state version of the FairTax would solve our… Continue

Flag Day Celebration in Asheville

The Asheville FairTax group was on hand to help Asheville celebrate Flag Day and Laura McCue, District Director for NC-11 gave a 10 minute talk about the FairTax and what life would be like if we had it. The whole event was well received and we gave out lots of Fairtax info. Here are some pictures of the event. Thank you to volunteers Laura McCue, Larry Porter, and Gail Blunt, and Regina Hughes. What is this business about the fairtax collecting taxes from Government consumption.

An important thing to remember is that the fairtax replaces the income tax.

In order to understand why the fairtax taxes government consumption, we need to first understand how government collects taxes from government's spending under present income taxes. To simplify the discussion, imagine a group of people on an island. Every year, each chips in 22% of his income to pay for things important to the group.

One year the…

Jessica Wexler: FairTax Heroine

Was at the Missouri FairTax Rally yesterday and the most impressive speaker to my mind (forgive me Neal and Herman) was a young Democrat activist by the name of Jessica Wexler.

If they taped those speeches then I suggest you listen to this brave and insightful young lady. She represents our best chance of winning this struggle.

Now I have been derided for years because of my attempts to get FairTax supporters to seperate this issue from their usually GOP political… Continue

Adult Attention Deficit Disorder

Adult Attention Deficit Disorder

Below I have listed three of the main symptoms of the disorder

Out of concern for many of our political representatives and members of the press when communicating about the FAIRTAX I studied some of the basic symptoms to look for when diagnosing an adult who may have this condition. I have found many of the symptoms of Adult Attention Deficit Disorder prevalent in both the press and our political elite.

One of the major reasons for tax reform is to simply the tax code and lessen the regulatory expenses it imposes to a more productive economy.

(cost of tax preparation)/(taxes revenues collected) = (efficiency of tax collecting). $350 billion to prepare taxes / $2,528 billion in “2008 federal receipts” = 13.845% inefficient

The fairtax has a low cost of collection. At about 90% less costly the Fairtax would only be about 1.4% inefficient leaving more money in the economy to… Continue
