Spread the Word

I only have an AAS degeree, I know many of you have more college education than that but one of the things that was stressed in several courses was goal setting, I'm possitive that has been the case in many of your courses as well. Especially in business management classes. If the Fair Tax has set goals each year they have kept them a secret, I've been on their mailing list for years and I've never seen specific goals laid out. I have mentioned a more "organized" approach several time and sort of rebuffed saying this is a grassroots movement. What is to say grassroots can't organize into beautiful sod? There are a couple of states that seem to be organized on the state level and that is commendable. Can we make it 50 states in 2009?

Please respond and let's make this happen.

Thank you, Mary.
This is encouraging. We can get congresspeople to support the Fair Tax "just by asking" (with enough reasoning and people included).
There is one Democratic congressional supporter now. But (presently) more Democrats than Republicans in Congress.
But Fair Taxation is good for all Americans, including Democrats. http://www.fairtax.org/site/PageServer?pagename=democrat_home
Suppose we strategically work to get the word out about these advantages to "diverse" political views (both sides of the isle). If we win a few Blue Dog or other Democrats, then getting others like them will be easier (not appear such a "conservative" or "Republican" thing as the statistics seem now). We might even preempt other liberal programs with the simple elegant Fair Tax solution among existing Congresspeople (at least better than now).
I am suggesting we purposely work to diversify or broaden the base. Then we can gain more momentum faster even before the next elections.
A benefit to liberal - minded American patriots (and all who support education) is that:
"The FairTax rewards education and upward mobility in the simplest and most powerful way: It eliminates tuition from all federal taxation."
This in addition to the fact that:
Since our current tax system is regressive, adopting the FairTax (rebate) would achieve progressivity.
This is MASSIVELY POWERFUL !! As Fair Tax leaders, let's promote it. We should get the Fair Tax sooner if we do.

After having conversations today with the offices of Congressman Ralph Hall (TX-4) and Congresswoman Kay Granger (TX-12), I expect to have 2 more co-spnsors on HR 25.

If this does happen, I hope other DD's and SD's will invest a few short moments into calling their congressmen. It may work. Let's go after them!

Acorn is a criminal organization because they helped young undercover journalists (DC & Baltimore) posing as prostitute and pimp. That included defrauding the IRS (which seemed easy to do if you are criminal, and Acorn exploits this). See http://www.biggovernment.com/. So, should we not investigate (better yet decommission) IRS (replace with Fair Tax) while we investigate and decommission Acorn?
Is this not a better use of congressional time than socializing medicine; 1/7 of GDP?
One value of the Fair Tax is that crooks pay tax.

Should your congressperson (or President) not hear this from you and those in your Fair Tax group?

Hmmmmm....

Could we develop this into the April 15 thing in DC? Maybe we could get the Mcleans into it some how.

Would the flag be destroyed via the wind before we got there?

Maybe we could walk it across America?

Start the Relay on the 15th of March and have a RALLY at the ending point on April 15th!! So the flag could be passed around the state for the whole month via driving or by mail with a state map of the "cities" the flag has been too??

"Idea still Forming" for a "statewide" FairTax Flag RELAY. FOCUS..."Make April 15th just another spring day with this Free Market Solution "FAIRTAX"!!! On a specific day ALL the states who want to participate start with a 3'x5' flag and then pass it to the next FairTax supporter by driving and handing it off, no speeches, but maybe a short corner flag waving moment (or a chinese firedrill w/flag in hand with by the one handing and receiving the flag)...there might be an opportunity to have a flag waving moment. The Flag along with an auto magnet could be handed off for the one driving it to the next location.

Wooo hoooo....Just scrolled through OVER 7,400 names in the one FairTax Group on Facebook. I contacted over 20 names because they had their city and WA state listed but 100's of names do not.....just think if even 1/2 of those FairTax supporters joined here there would be over 8,000 members here on FairTaxNation! Keep up the GREAT work everybody...we are making a difference!!

Jeff, I'm pretty sure you are wrong. And we also "ran it by" several people.

I just answered this question for another person:

Frank,

I respectfully and whole heartedly disagree. I am extremely aware of the date.

My sister's son joined the Marines immediately after 9/11 and has served in Iraq and then more recently Afghanastan.

On July 13th, my nephew had part of his leg blown off and two of his freinds were killed by an IED (roadside bomb) in Afghanistan. At this moment he is laid up in a hospital bed in Germany. All of this as a result of the War on Terrror that started on 9/11.

If that bomb had not stopped him, he would be there fighting for this country on 9/11/09. Its not a day off for the Marines and other U.S. service men.

It feel is my duty to fight for America and not let it be destroyed from within just as it was his duty to fight the enemies over there.

9/11/09 is not a day off for me either.

Kindest Regards,

Jim TomasiK

And it looks like the 9/12 thing is going to be the biggest TEA party to date.
