For many of us that don't have money to spare but would like to something to help advance the fairtax, and get it being passed, I suggest that we use our creative abilities and identify areas on the net to promote, educate and provide rebuttals when appropriate.

You may search out articles that allow comments.
articles on: economy, jobs, taxes, ect

I found youtube videos advertising liberty tax, H&R Block, and Turbo Tax services were severely lacking in comments suggesting an alternative "The FairTax" and its benefits.

Comment Robert Owens is our guest speaker for our next MCFAN meeting on September 25th. Take a look at this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWWudG5qCus&NR=1

Thanks to all of you who helped with our event Tuesday night. Even if you were only able to forward our invitation and couldn't make it yourself, thank you. It was a great success in spite of all the meetings in our surrounding area (believe me, I was worried) but most groups were represented by at least one or more members. I saw a lot of new faces and met folks who had not been involved and last night was their first step. This morning there was a positive article about the Liberty HQ on the front page of the Medina Gazette!

We are officially open from 10-6 weekdays, 10-8 Thursdays at this time. These hours will be extended for any scheduled phone banking/precinct canvassing or meeting. Please read the recap below and join us as soon as you can!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Throughout the day, a steady trickle of visitors toured the North East Ohio Liberty Headquarters, meeting with American Majority Action Regional Director Doug Simon, Medina County Friends And Neighbors (MCFAN) co-founders Jim & Lisa Woods, and nearly a dozen of their volunteers. At 7 PM, the official Grand Opening was kicked off to a standing room only crowd that filled the main office and adjoining “broadcast booth”, spilled into the phone bank room, packed the entryway and extended down both hallways.

In spite of a schedule conflict with the gubernatorial debate, debate watching parties at the “victory centers” of both political parties and scheduled meetings of conservative grassroots organizations in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Summit and Wayne, the Grand Opening was well attended by participants not only from Medina and surrounding counties but drew participation from groups as far away as Tuscarawas and Knox counties as well.

As if to prove Mr. Woods’ comments to a reporter earlier in the day about the Headquarters being a non-partisan center for conservative activists, at points during the opening comments he handed the microphone over to Justin Wooden who ran against Betty Sutton in the Democratic Party primary, and to Adam Friedrich who is a Republican Party candidate for county commissioner, both of whom applauded the opening of the facility. The audience also included campaign officers for a Constitution Party and an independent candidate.

Both Simon and Woods spoke of the importance of transforming Tea Party “protest into action”, encouraging people to commit to precinct canvassing, working on the phone bank at the Liberty Headquarters, preparing mailings or writing Letters to the Editor. Noted Woods, “Everyone has something they can do to contribute to the effort, and there is enough work for everyone from now until the election. This is the one election where nobody wants to admit later, that they did nothing. With the opening of this Liberty Headquarters, people now know where they can come to get involved and make a difference.

The Liberty Headquarters is at 4986 Gateway Drive in Medina, just off the intersection of I-71 and SR-18. The main phone number (330-952-0021) will be published in the phonebooks under the heading of social service organizations, under the listing of Medina County Friends And Neighbors.

A Note of Hope

At this point and time we are experiencing history in the making. We are witnessing the power of the people who are joining forces and coming together as one. ( We shall not be comfortable nor are we the generation to be satisfied with results of the primary election or the general that is to come.) But for once however we the people are finally seeing the results of our efforts.,
Are efforts are only the beginning of the passing of The Fair Tax. If you were to look at the the primary elections of the people (tea party candidates and non- tea party candidates) that have won the primaries across the country and see their endorsement from other congressional and Senator you will see that they are also Fair Tax co-sponsors.
We must not put are armor down but lock and re-load for the next 2 months and then for the next 2 years. Our battle began along time ago however the results over the past years of our effort and time donating to the belief that we all have in educating the American public on The Fair Tax is beginning to take hold.. Through these efforts has reestablish my belief in the American people that has not given up on what are founders have fought and died for. We are coming together as one... May we all pray for God guidance and for him to give us the strength to carry on for the future generation of all Americans........
Keep the Faith

The FairTax is does not endorse candidates, but we do recognize candidate that support the FairTax, and want to make sure members of the public are informed as to the positions held by political aspirants, both for and against the FairTax.

John Kasich worked hard to achieve fiscal responsibility while he was in Washington, but he didn’t stop there. He also chaired the historic congressional conference committee that overhauled the welfare system. He built on his commitment to limited government and championed defense reform and worked hard to eliminate wasteful government spending by effectively building coalitions with members of both sides of the aisle. John Kasich will provide exactly the kind of conservative leadership the people of Ohio need.

During his distinguished career of service in Congress and in the Cabinet, Rob kept his home in Ohio and kept his loyalties to the people of his home state. While many people fall in line with the desires of the Washington special interests, Rob Portman instead, chose to stand strong and fight for all Ohioans. I sincerely hope that you will join with Huck in supporting Rob Portman for U.S. Senate from Ohio.

Steve Chabot’s conservative record is clear – consistently voting to stop wasteful government spending and lower the tax burdens on hard working families.Huck PAC and Huck are pleased to endorse Steve Chabot for U.S. Congress.

Tom Ganley’s story epitomizes the American dream – he is a self-made man from humble beginnings who wants to go to Washington to make a real positive difference for Ohio and the country. Huck PAC and Huck are proud to endorse Tom Ganley for U.S. Congress

I Know there are a dozen meetings and events that we are competing with tonight but I hope some of you will show your support and come to the new HQ! Here are the details.

We are having a Grand Opening of the Northern Ohio Liberty Headquarters Tonight, Tuesday, September 14 at 7:00pm. A phone bank has been installed, courtesy of AMA. The Americans for Majority Action are opening up 6 of these offices simultaneously nationwide; two each in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and one each in Texas and Missouri. These headquarters' are intended to help take the "Tea Party Movement" to the next level, from street demonstrations to political action that directly affects the outcome of elections. The Northern Ohio Liberty Headquarters is at 4986 Gateway Drive, #206 in Medina, just off the intersection of I-71 and SR-18. We encourage everyone to stop by to see the resources available (and enjoy pizza, wings and other refreshments) from 7-9 PM. For further info email Lisa or call us at 330-952-0021. We look forward to seeing you at this celebration! Please feel free to pass on the invitation.

We will be watching the Kasich/Strickland debate at 8:00pm.

Across the Nation, FairTax supporters are winning primaries, and promoting the FairTax as part of their general election platform. In neighboring Indiana, nine candidates are FairTax supporters, while Georgia has ten and Arizona has twelve.

Here in Ohio, we have seven supporters running for various Congressional offices, plus several others running for State positions.

In Ohio, we have several FairTax supporters running, or already in, office

Kasich(Governor) supports a program very similar to the FairTax, but hasn't come out and supported the FairTax

Yost for Auditor
Chabot for OH01 (potential co-sponsor)
Schmidt for OH02 (incumbent)
Jordan for OH04 (incumbent, potential co-sponsor)
Austria for OH07 (incumbent)
Tiberi for OH12 (incumbent past co-sponsor)
Ganley for OH13 (potential co-sponsor)
Renacci for OH16

We also have several down-ticket supporters of the FairTax running for State office.

Unfortunately, in some cases, opponents are demonizing, misrepresenting, and outright lying about the FairTax in order to gain political traction.

We can not allow this to continue!!

I encourage everyone to attend as many political events as possible in the upcoming months and promote/defend the FairTax as necessary. When the FairTax is attacked, defend it vigorously, even if the candidate doesn't. (Some may not be as knowledgeable as we are!!). Use political events as opportunities to promote the FairTax by asking candidates who support the FairTax to expand on why, making the FairTax a topic of discussion and "educating" more in the audience.

The 2010 elections are critical for getting a solid phalanx of FairTax supporters into National and State offices. Once that is done, passage in 2012 becomes the next step in making the FairTax reality.

Greetings,

The race in the 16th Congressional District is heating up. The game plan is clear. Since Pelosi's Puppets have nothing positive to say about the legislation they have passed (against the will of the People), their strategy for a winning re-election is to smear their opponents. The Politics of Character Assassination will be taken to a whole new level, as conservatives are all painted as "greedy", "Wall Street", "hard-hearted businessmen" ... and worse. Already the AFSCME has spent $750,000 on TV ads trying to paint candidate Renacci as being willing to vote for a huge tax increase (i.e., their bogus characterization of the Fair Tax). This bogus characerization was immediately debunked by FactCheck.org.

Yesterday Renacci initiated a lawsuit against the AFSCME for Slander, in response to their more recent, and more personal TV ads. Iit should be noted that Congress was called back to Washington in August for an emergency session, in order to pass the "Jobs Bill", which spent another $10 billion on creating jobs - not private sector jobs but government jobs that pay dues to the AFSCME union. It was passed on August 10, and Boccieri voted in favor of it.

When you see the AFSCME spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on political ads, you are seeing your taxpayer's dollars at work, laundered through mandatory union dues; likewise when you see AFSCME union workers campaigning, you are seeing your taxpayers's dollars at work without even being laundered.

When our tax money is being used to pay for political advertising and paid campaign "volunteers", we have to respond in kind; donate what you can to the candidate of your choice and help them out if you can by participating as a campaign volunteer.

Eric Deaton for US Senate Bill of Rights 1st amendment lesson: The right to freedom of religion & freedom of speech. We have the right to worship our creator as we see fit and our govt. is to not make any laws restricting this right or to dictate who, when or where we worship. We do have a responsibility to practice our religion faithfully and live within the ways of our God. We will be held accountable by our God for our actions or inaction.
